A native of Hall County, Mrs. Armour was preceded in death by one son, Marshall Armour. She was a daughter of Carrie Maude Jackson and the late Leonard Mac Jackson. Mrs. Armour was a member of the Lula Full Gospel Worship Center. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Lula Full Gospel Worship Center, Highway 52 with the Revs. Grady Saxon, Bobby Griffin, and Roland Arrowood officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Living Mission Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, R.B. Armour, Lula; one daughter, Gloria Dodd, Alto; two sons, Roger Armour, Gainesville, and Doug Armour, Lula; one sister, Louise Maxwell, Duluth; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, is in charge of arrangements. Richard L. Brooks Athens Richard Lamar Brooks, 58, died Friday, June 19, 1998. A native of Troup County, Mr. Brooks was a son of the late Winifred L. Brooks. He attended Griffin High School and the University of Georgia. Mr. Brooks was employed in real estate for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the McCullough Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Elliot officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his father, Harvey L. Brooks, Griffin; one brother, Norman L. Brooks, Milner; and one nephew, Adam B. Brooks, Helena, Mont. The family will receive friends 3-6 p.m. today at the funeral home. M. Larry Hancock Americus M. Larry Hancock, 59, died Friday, June 19, 1998. A native of Americus, Mr. Hancock was the owner of Hancock Funeral Home, Americus. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and of Gupton -Jones College of Funeral Service. Mr. Hancock served on the Georgia State Board of Funeral Service and was a former employee of Bridges Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Grove Cemetery. Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Benjamin Jones Jr. Athens Benjamin William Jones Jr., 20, of 1608 Lexington Road died Saturday, June 20, 1998. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Jones was a son of Benjamin William and Wanda Crowley Jones Sr. of Smyrna. He had attended Cedar Shoals High School. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Amanda Jones, Athens; grandparents, Elma Crowley, Athens, and Frank and Mary Ann Jones, Blairsville. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Merlin J. McGee Marrero, La. Merlin James "Mac" McGee, 74, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998. A native of New Orleans, La., Mr. McGee was a son of the late James Amos and Mary Elizabeth Benton McGee. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Hall. Mr. McGee was a retired engineer with Texaco Oil Co. and owner of Frame & Mat Shop. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion Post 23 of Marrero and the Professional Picture Framers Association. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Monday at Bethany Methodist Church with the Rev. Hulon Hill officiating. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Elrod McGee; three daughters, Kathleen Teston, N.Y., and Janet Schexnayder and Natalie Hall, both of La.; three sons, Robert McGee, La., and Mark Hall and David Hall, both of Dallas; three sisters, Jane Beasley, Dorathy LaRocca and Faye Ponthieux; two brothers, Elridge McGee and Merrill Turnabene; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends 8-10:15 a.m. Monday at Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, La. Curtis G. Morrow Elberton Curtis Garfield Morrow, 79, of 1109 Cedar Lane died Friday, June 19, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Morrow was a son of the late Gaines Washington and Eula Hulme Morrow. He was a watchmaker and jeweler, having owned and operated Colonial Jewelers for a number of years. Mr. Morrow was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Pulliam-Burton Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Philomathea Masonic Lodge No. 25 and Calvary Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Maxfield officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Morrow and Connie Morrow Woods, both of Elberton; and one sister, Inez Morris, Kalamazoo, Mich. Memorial contributions may be made to the paving fund of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Thornton, 70, of Rock Creek Road died Thursday, June 18, 1998. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Thornton was a son of the late Neat and Willie C. Thornton. He was retired from the Patterson Pump Co. and member and deacon of Broad River Baptist Church, Lavonia. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Broad River Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Thaxton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mary Faith Thornton; one daughter, Monica Montgomery; one son Rodney Montgomery; one sister, Eddie B.
