A native of Elbert County, Mr. Adams was a son of the late C.D. Adams and Sabra Adams Adams. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Coile officiating. Survivors include three sisters, Rachel Wright, Taylors, S.C., Lenora Parham, Greenville, S.C., and Frances King, Elberton. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends noon-1:30 p.m today at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton. Lillie Brooks Athens Lillie B. "MUFF" Brooks, 84, of 1400 Daniels Bridge Road, died Friday, March 20, 1998. A native of Athens, Mrs. Brooks was a daughter of the late George and Hattie Smith Bradley and widow of Fred D. Brooks. She lived in Athens most of her life and was retired after more than 25 years at Chicopee Mill. She was a member of Ashford Memorial Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home with the Revs. Bob Smith and Waymon Carter officiating. Burial will be in Colbert City Cemetery. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred Dempsey and Sarah Brooks, Charlotte, N.C., and the Rev. Bobby F. and Shirley Brooks, Athens; a brother, Howell Jott Bradley, Hephzibah; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Frank Brooks, Darryll Brooks, F.D. Phyllis Bailey Bryan Atlanta Phyllis Bailey Bryan, 95, of 3747 Peachtree Rd., N.E., died Friday, March 20, 1998. A native of Shelbina, Mo., Mrs. Bryan was a daughter of the late Tillman and Frances Quesenbury Bailey and widow of Francis Sibley Bryan Sr. Mrs. Bryan moved to Union Point in 1923 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Union Point. She was an organizer of the "Women of the Church" and served several terms as president and as treasurer. She also served on the Hostess Committee. She faithfully attended church services, Sunday school and Women of the Church meetings. She was a pioneer member of the Union Point Garden Club where she served in all offices of the organization, including president and chairwoman of many committees. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Union Point, with the Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Wisteria Cemetery in Union Point. Survivors include a son, F. Sibley Bryan Jr.; four nieces, Jennie Bryan Sheffield, Kitty Bryan Forbes, Betty Bryan Drennen, and Mary Virginia Bryan Davis; three nephews, Robert F. Margaret Creagh Athens Margaret Ehemann Creagh, of Athens and Hilton Head, S.C., died Friday, March 20, 1998. She was a daughter of the late Lillie Morris and Christian Ehemann of Memphis, Tenn., and granddaughter of Margaret Jane Henry and John Sylvester Morris of Gallatin, Tenn. She was the widow of the Rear Adm. Gerard B. Creagh of the Navy Medical Corps and previous director of the Northeast Georgia Public Health Department. Mrs. Creagh was born in 1908 and was a graduate of The Castle, Tarrytown-on-Hudson, NY. The Creaghs were married in 1929 and moved to the Philippine Islands, China and Japan where they lived until 1935. During World War II, Mrs. Creagh received many awards for her extensive volunteer work with the Navy Relief Society in Great Neck, Long Island, NY and later at the U.S. Naval Hospitals in Norfolk and Portsmouth, VA. She was a charter member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church and Friends of the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. She also served as president of the Athens Garden Club, the Wednesday Study Club and the Crawford W. Long Medical Society Auxiliary. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Athens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Athens "Trees for Tomorrow" program, 350 Pound St., Athens, Ga. 30601, or to a favorite charity. Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Mary Margaret Wood, Professor Emerita, University of Georgia; a son, Dr. Gerard B. Creagh Jr., Athens; grandchildren, Margaret Lillie Hancock, Bluffton, SC., Cynthia Creagh Flanders, Auburn, Ala, and Dr. William Alexander Andrews, DeLand, Fla.; and nine great-grandchildren who called her "Grammie." Raymond Fambro Athens Raymond Fambro, 64, of 220 Cone Dr., died Friday, March 20, 1998. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Fambro was a son of the late Raymond Fambro and Geraldine Walter Fambro. He was retired from St. Mary's Hospital where he worked as an orderly for more than 37 years. He was a member of Oconee Baptist Church, Stephens. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Abraham Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Garden. Henry Hardman Sr. Nicholson Henry Franklin Hardman, Sr., 74, of 192 Kesler Road, died Saturday, March 21, 1998. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Hardman was a son of the late Millard and Sallie McLain Hardman. He was a material handler and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. Amanda Louise Hewiett Athens Amanda Louise Hewiett, 24, of 2060 Epps Bridge Road, died Thursday, March 19, 1998. A native of Gainesville, Fla., Miss Hewiett was a daughter of L.A. Hewiett of Jacksonville, Fla., and Geneva Thurmond of Athens. She lived in Athens for the past five years and was a member of Tallasee Road Church of God. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include two sisters, Beth Lemer, Canton, and Rhonda Hewiett, Union Point; a brother, Quinton Hewiett, Athens; three nieces; and two nephews. Pheobe Kelley Elberton Pheobe Dickerson Kelley, 85, died Saturday, March 21, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Kelley was a daughter of the late William Robert Dickerson and Jane Ayers Dickerson and widow of William T. Kelley. Mrs. Kelley was the last member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker and a member of Believers Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Waymon Dotson officiating. Burial will be in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
