A native of Hart County, Mrs. Bryson was a daughter of the late Thamer and Mavis Morris Reed. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Dolly Teel Sunday School Class and chairman of the serving committee. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Meeks and Luther Kay officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Horace Bryson; a son, Keith Bryson, Hartwell; a brother, Rance Reed, Hartwell; a grandchild and a great-grandchild. The family is at the home of Keith Bryson, 491 Mount Olivet School Road, and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mose Collins Toccoa Mose "Gob" Collins, 81, of Yearwood Street, Toccoa, widower of Agnes Faye Ward Collins, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998. Born Feb. 15, 1917, in Stephens County, he was a son of the late Lit and Estelle Smith Collins. He was a member of Welcome Faith Baptist Church and retired from Trogdon Furniture Co. Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Wood and Patsy Garner, both of Toccoa, and Charlotte Turner, Royston; five sons, Jerry Collins, Kenneth Collins and Sam Collins, all of Toccoa, Tim Collins, Habersham, and Rick Collins, Homer; a grandson reared in the home, Randy Collins, Toccoa; two brothers, Dan Collins, Atlanta, and Brown Collins, Toccoa; a sister, Nell Addison, Eastanollee; one half-sister, Emily Rousey, Toccoa; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Collins; grandson, Chad Collins; three brothers, Jones Collins, Lester Collins and Jeff Collins; two sisters, Inez Cole and Marie Cobb. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 24, 1998, from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Revs. Robert Magness and Ted Ansley officiating. Burial will follow in Roselane Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and will meet at the mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Friday: Chris Collins, Steve Collins, Jason Garner, David Collins, Michael Collins and Jamie Collins. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. David B. Denton Eastanollee David Boyd Denton, 47, of Freeman Creek Road, Route 2, died Tuesday, July 21, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Denton was a son of the late Boyd A. and Johnnie Roberts Denton. He was a maintenance supervisor for Davis Transfer Co. and a member of Martin Baptist Church and Richland Hunting Club. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Martin Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Rogers and Darrell Odum officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a daughter, Johnna Whitney Denton, Marton; two stepchildren, Misty Carson and Brook Carson; two sisters, Sandra Marcus, Hartwell, and Diane Kelley, Toccoa; a half-brother, Thomas Roberts, Toccoa; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Donnie Duke, Bruce Land, Jack Kesler, Freddy Aldrich, Joe McCurry and Albert Murray. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelley, 213 S. Oak St., and will receive friends 10 a.m.-noon today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa. Tony Johnson Elberton Tony Glenn Johnson, 52, of 1338 Filter Plant Road died Monday, July 20, 1998. A native of Bell County, Ky., Mr. Johnson was a son of Nathaniel and Nadine Ray Johnson of Hulan, Ky. He was a licensed insurance agent and real estate broker and was owner of Glenn Insurance Agency. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member and former deacon of Northside Baptist Church and a member of Promise Keepers. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Northside Baptist Church with Joey Campbell and the Revs. David McConnell and Randy Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Linda Duffell Johnson; two daughters, Lisa Worley, Elberton, and Jill Randall, Royston; a son, Kevin McMullan, Elberton; a brother, Tommy Johnson, Middlesboro, Ky.; a granddaughter and two grandsons. Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Thomas Mercer, Tim Mercer, Mark Wade, William Jabour and Dayton Ely. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Almond, Melvin Crawford, Mel Stovall, Dennis Young, Niles Poole and Bob Ward. Memorials may be made to the Northside Baptist Church New Sanctuary Fund. Will Parrott Athens Will Henry Parrott, 93, of 320 Macon Ave. died Friday, July 17, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Parrott was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Parrott and was the widower of Sallie Parrott. He was retired from Atlantic Ice and Coal Co. and the University of Georgia and was a longtime member of First African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he served as a steward. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First AME Church with the Rev. George R. La Sure officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Survivors include a trusted friend, neighbor and care giver, E.B. Johnson Jr.; two nieces and a nephew.
