Mrs. Bond, a native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, was the daughter of the late Mr. Arthur Wise and Ada Sorrells Eidson. She was a charter member of the Oconee Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Camilla Eidson Noell, two brothers, A.C. Eidson and Melton Eidson, and was the widow of the late Mr. Clarence Melton and Mell Bond. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Revs. Tom Lang and Crist Camden officiating. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and W. Leroy McDade, Athens; two granddaughters, Dina Catherine McDade, Gainesville, and Julie Louise McDade, Atlanta; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapelwood United Methodist Church Building and Land Fund, 100 Janice Dr. Athens, Ga. 30606. The family will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. Leroy McDade, 195 Dove Valley Dr. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Bridges Funeral Home prior to the services. Reginald Day Crawford Reginald Mell Day, 64, of 1575 Athens Road., died November 21. A native and lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Day was the son of the late George David and Coe Sorrow David. He retired from Westinghouse/ABB after 32 years of service. He was a member of Crawford Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East. Revs. Herman Purcell, Dayton Logan, Ralph Mabry, Mark Fite, and David Shivar will officiate. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Coile, Gary Farmer, Sherald Sharp, Cecil Ashworth, Jimmy Day, Herbert Floyd, James Smith, and Donald Day. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Coile, Ivan Winsette, Gilbert Underwood, Donald Huff, Oliver Stamey, Bobby McFarland, Coile Wilkins, and Earl Scarborough. Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Mickey" Day of Crawford; two sons, Mike Day and daughter-in-law Candy, of Hull, and Jonny Day and daughter-in-law Penny, of Arnoldsville; a brother, Jacob Day of Lexington; a grandson, Dillon Day of Arnoldsville; a niece and nephew and a host of other relatives and friends. Edwards Fort Washington, Md. Minnie L. Edwards died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998. A native of Athens, Ms. Edwards was a sister of the late Annie L. Edwards. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, Landover, Md. Burial will be in Fort Washington, Md. Survivors include a sister, Agnes Jackson, Athens; and a niece. A native of White County, Mr. Holcomb was a son of the late Luther and Emma Coleman Holcomb. He was a lifetime truck driver and retired as a truck driver from Tugalo Construction Co. after 16 years of service. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. C.E. Hart officiating. Survivors include his wife, JoNell Shirley Holcomb; a daughter, Debbie Stewart, Tallulah Falls; two sons, Danny Holcomb, Clarkesville, and Jerry Holcomb, Mount Airy; two sisters, Maude McClellon, Cornelia, and Ruth Brookshire, Clayton; and six grandchildren. A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Ivie was a daughter of the late W.G. Ivie and Nina Saville Ivie. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. A native of White County, Mr. Knight was a son of John P. Knight Sr. and Annie Mae Holcomb Knight of Fairview. He was retired from Scovill Manufacturing with 41 years of service. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Whitfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilmer Ivester officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Mary Anne Franklin Knight; a daughter, Karen Althea Banks, Gainesville; a son, Santford Rodney Knight, Cornelia; two stepsons, Randall Wade and Shane Dodd, both of Clarkesville; a sister, Betty Sue Bryant, Demorest; a brother, John Perry Knight Jr., Fairview; and five grandchildren. Mr. Skinner was a son of Corene Dunagan Skinner of Winder and the late James Collier Skinner. He retired from the Winder Police Dept. in May of 1997, was a law enforcement officer for 30 years, a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the Peace Officer Association of Georgia. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Anthony Massey officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Lillian H. Stovall Greensboro Lillian H. Stovall, 80, of 1090 Apalachee Road died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998. A native of Greene County, Ms. Stovall was a daughter of the late Arnold and Emma Williams Howard. She was a member of Boswell Baptist Church, Greensboro, and served on the Mother Board. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Boswell Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
