Brock Homer Cecil L. Brock, 37, of 221 Mount Siani Road died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998. A native of Barrow County, Mr. Brock was a son of Clarence V. Brock and the late Katherine Lawson Brock, Winder. He was a drywall finisher with Wood's Drywall. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Solid Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Mary Brock; four children, Ashley M. Brock, Shawn E. Donnelly, Christopher R. Donnelly, and Cody M. Brock, all of Homer; four sisters, Shirley Gordon, Winder, Carolyn Eberhart, Athens, Judy Acevedo, St. Louis, Mo., and Linda England, Danielsville; a brother, Charles V. Brock, Denver; and nieces and nephews. John W. Hughes Toccoa John Wesley Hughes, 77, of 8626 Prather Bridge Road died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Hughes was a son of the late Archie Frank and Sheila Mae Vandiver Hughes. He was a retired employee of LeTourneau-Wabco Co. after 30 years of service. He was a United States Air Force veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the Inspirational Sunday School Class. Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Revs. Don Scott and Fred Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Leola Fulbright Hughes; two daughters, Elaine Honea, Eastanollee, and Anita Addison, Lavonia; a son, Greg Hughes, Toccoa; a brother, Charles Hughes, Toccoa; an uncle; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Norris, Harry Collins, Mike Fulbright, Billy Davis, Steve Hughes and Jeremy Powers. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home. Bernice K. Little Mount Airy Bernice Kimbrell Little, 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Little was a daughter of the late William M. and Lucy Gulley Kimbrell and was the widow of John B. Little Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Allen. She was a homemaker and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home with the Revs. Sanford Kimbrell and Larry Ryals officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Aikens, Cornelia; and four brothers, Ray Kimbrell and Donald Kimbrell, both of Demorest, Henley Kimbrell, Cornelia, and Denver Kimbrell, Alto. Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin is in charge of arrangements. Ruby W. Ruliffson Watkinsville Ruby W. Ruliffson, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998. A native of Buena Vista, Iowa, Mrs. Ruliffson was a daughter of the late Adel G. and Ethel Sherrow Benson. She was a retired employee of the Juvenille Court System and was of the Presbyterian faith. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Bowden officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Survivors include her husband, Willard Ruliffson; two sons, Eric B. Chappelle, Portland, Ore., and C. Mark Chappelle, Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
