A native of Banks County, Mr. Ayers was a son of the late Marion Judson and Althea Elizabeth Aaron Ayers. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a carpenter, was a member of Carpenter's Retirees Club and Carpenter's Local Union 225, and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Webbs Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. James Dumas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Julia Burks Ayers; two sons, Douglas Ayers, Conyers, and Jarrell Ayers, Mableton; four sisters, Annette Evans, Fayetteville, Jean Hill, Maysville, Wilbert Landrum, Hapeville, and Edith Little, Morrow; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce. Minnie Lee Brown Commerce Minnie Lee David Brown, 85, of 861 Trayham Road, died Saturday, March 21, 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Brown was retired from domestic work. A wake is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Lula Pittman, Commerce; three sons, Ernest Lee Brown, James David Brown Sr. and Oscar Hardman Brown, all of Commerce; two sisters, Thelma Reid and Alma Faulkner, both of Commerce; a brother, the Rev. Julious David, Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy and Lula Pittman, 45 Ridgeway Road. Anna Kitchens Commerce Anna Nations Kitchens, 66, of 259 Hebron Road, died Monday, March 23, 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Kitchens was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Willie Nunn Nations and widow of J.B. Kitchens. She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Kitchens. She was a homemaker. Private memorial services will be later. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Jarrell, Commerce, and Joyce Williams, Royston; four sons, Barry Kitchens, Chatham, Va., J.T. Kitchens, Dry Fork, Va., and Rickey Kitchens and Toney Kitchens, both of Colbert; a brother, Bobby Nations, Japan; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice. Little-Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. J.C. Mobley Winder J.C. Mobley, 84, died Monday, March 23, 1998. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Mobley was a son of the late Hampton and Cora King Mobley and widower of Frances Mobley. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Shubert was a son of the late Giles H. and Lillie Mae Wade Shubert and widower of Willie Hazel Ivie Shubert. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cale Thomason. He was retired after 20 years at Southern Railway and 12 years at Carwood Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Alto Baptist Church.
