Hallie Brown Toccoa Hallie Cox Teasley Brown, 89, also of Demorest, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Arthur Carson and Annie Hodgson Cox and widow of O.A. Teasley and Pollard Brown. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She taught school in the La Grange, Cordele and Toccoa city school systems. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Toccoa, Toccoa Literary Club and Ithanna Club, and formerly was active at First United Methodist Church of Toccoa. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Toccoa Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Fields officiating. She was a 1987 graduate of Clarke Central High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in audiology in 1991 and a master's degree in audiology in 1993. She was an audiologist at Georgia Hearing Center for five years and a member of First Baptist Church of Athens.
