Baldwin Athens W.A. Baldwin, 83, of 165 Vine St., died Monday, April 27, 1998. A native of Oconee County, S.C., Mr. Baldwin was a son of the late Winfield and Lily Davis Baldwin. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Orie Lee Baldwin, and a daughter, Carolyn Baldwin Meadows. He was a carpenter, an ordained minister and a member of Cornerstone Church of God. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Revs. Robert Shepherd and Randall Porter officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Holiness Church Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Eunice A. Baldwin; a daughter, Virginia Baldwin Daniel, Lilburn; a stepdaughter, Mary Gregory, Arnoldsville; three stepsons, Alvin Gray and Charlie Gray, both of Statham, and John Gray, Athens; three sisters, Florence Monroe, Myrtice Clark and Lois Baldwin, all of Seneca, S.C.; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church of God. Chun Chang Commerce Chun Fu Futton Chang, 16, of 299 Hudson River Drive died Saturday, April 25, 1998. A native of Taiwan, Chun was a son of Kenny and Maggie Change of Commerce. He was a student at Athens Academy. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Commerce Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Lewis officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Howard Chang, Commerce. Little-Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dora H. Clark Hartwell Dora Ellen Hendrix Clark, 90, died Sunday, April 26, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late William Franklin and Evie Page Hendrix and was the widow of Robert Marcus Clark. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Clark. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Flat Shoals Baptist Church with the Revs. Sid Newell and Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Cheshire and Dorothy Clark, both of Hartwell; two sons, John W. Clark, Toccoa, and James R. Clark, Hartwell; a sister, Pearl Wood, Toccoa; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Hulon Clements Eatonton Hulon Lee Clements, 78, died Saturday, April 25, 1998. A native of Putnam County, Mr. Clements was a son of the late Mitchell and Eunice Card Clements. He was preceded in death by a son, Harold L. Clements. He attended Macon Technical School from which he received a certificate in automobile mechanics. A veteran of World War II, he was retired from Dexter Axle Co. in Monticello and was a member of Griggs Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Monticello. Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at Griggs Chapel AME Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Survivors include his wife, Eunice M. Clements; two daughters, Thedora C. Ogletree and Beverly C. Thurmond; six sons, Hulon L. Clements Jr., Alvin N. Clements, Melvin L. Clements, Gerald D. Clements, George D. Clements and Dexter B. Oliver Edwards Madison Oliver Frank Edwards, 99, of 588 East Ave., died Monday, April 27, 1998. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Edwards was a son of the late Nannie Harville and Oliver Whitfield Edwards and was the widower of Eva George Edwards. He was a retired auto parts salesman and a member of Masonic Lodge 376 F&AM. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Madison Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Ross officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Survivors include a daughter, Addie E. Fruster, 54, of Owens Street died Friday, April 24, 1998. Mr. Fruster was a son of Mary Fruster of Toccoa and the late George Fruster. Fruster, Atlanta. The family is at the home of a niece, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown, Defoor Road. Ethel Hester Crawford Ethel Velera Hester, 81, formerly of Bowdon, died Sunday, April 26, 1998. A native of Randolph County, Ala., Mrs. Hester was a daughter of the late George Albert and Martha Lou Evans Huey and was the widow of Alfred Hester. She was a member of Bowdon Baptist Church and retired from Bremen-Bowdon Investment Co. Funeral services will be at 3:15 p.m. today at Rainwater-West Funeral Home, Bowdon, with the Rev. Homer Benefield officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowdon. Nena Mann Hull Nena Davis Mann, 96, died Monday, April 27, 1998. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Mann was a daughter of the late Thomas Adam and Nancy Scott Davis and was the widow of Paul Edward Mann. She was a member of Hull Baptist Church and the Homemaker Sunday School class, and was active in WMU. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hull Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Survivors include a sister, Hattie Spratlin, Hull; and nieces and nephews. Martin Hartwell Donald Reece Martin, 44, of 5058 Royston Highway, died Monday, April 27, 1998. A native of Anderson, S.C., Mr. Martin was a son of Margaret Holland Martin of Canon and the late Reece Martin. He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Truman Holland and Ralph and Pairlee Martin. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Business Administration and co-founder of Active Wear Inc. in Athens. He was a member of the American Apparel Association and Bethany Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church with the Revs. Richard Bielski, Joe Black and Gale Siebert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mitchell of Athens and the late Herbert Mitchell Sr. and was the widow of Andrew Mills. She was a homemaker and a member of Oconee Baptist Church, Stephens. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oconee Baptist Church with the Rev. Hoyt Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Parks Cartersville Richard K. Parks, 57, of 60 Natchi Trail, died Sunday, April 26, 1998. A native of Lake Placid, N.Y., Mr. Parks was a son of the late O.K. and Ona M. Parks. He as a graduate of Wayne State University and did his post-graduate work at the University of North Carolina. He was a health care planner serving both North Carolina and Georgia. He attended Cartersville Presbyterian Church and was active in Habitat for Humanity. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Kenneth Summey officiating. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Varner Parks; two daughters, Carla Parks Summey, Snellville, and Katherine Parks, of the home; and a sister, Judy Lester, St. Paul, Minn. Wilkinson Bishop Morris O. Wilkinson, 78, of 2163 Union Church Road, died Monday, April 27, 1998. A native of Neshoba County, Miss., Mr. Wilkinson was a son of the late Vesta Therrell and Willie H. Wilkinson Sr. He was employed with the U.S. Forestry Service and was a member of Hull Baptist Church and Silent Followers Sunday school class.
