A native of White County, Miss Barrett was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary Jane "Molly" Oakes Barrett. She was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church and a retired poultry farmer. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, with the Revs. Bill Gravley and Paul Jameson officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. A native of Banks County, Mrs. Brooks was a daughter of the late James Alexander and Lovie Dunson Wilson. She was retired from Inez's Shop in Commerce after 30 years as owner, a former member of the Commerce Merchant's Association and Jefferson Pilot Club, and a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Drs. Mickey Kirkindoll and Larry Eubanks officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Dorsey Brooks; a stepdaughter, Gail Harden, Carrollton; three stepsons, Gary Brooks, Palmer, Alaska, and Larry Brooks and Tim Brooks, both of Hoschton; a sister, Doris Hunter, Powder Springs; three brothers, Lewis Wilson, Alto, Reese (Gene) Wilson, Charlotte, N.C., and Albert Wilson, Concord, N.C.; seven stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews. Etta Hill Toccoa Etta Sheriff Hill, 87, of Route 2, Yow Mill Road, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Hill was a daughter of the late John F. and Effie Lee Elrod Sheriff and widow of Dalton Hill. She was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church and a former employee of Carwood Manufacturing Co. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Toms Creek Baptist Church with Kenneth Hill and the Revs. Clack Stubbs, Kenneth Moon and V.A. Merck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
