A native of Greene County, Mr. Bishop was a son of the late Mary Liddie Lomax and Charlie Orin Bishop and was the widower of Mavis Beal. He was a salesman. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Simmons Funeral Home, Madison, with the Rev. Jerald Bishop officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Almon Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Joann Jenkins, Buford, and Mary Nell Bennett, Dacula; a son, Lewis Bishop, Lawrenceville; two sisters, Lorine Walls, Hull, and Mildred Hammonds, Bishop; two brothers, Carlton Bishop and M.B. Bishop, both of Farmington; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Jack L. Hulett Commerce Jack L. Hulett, 63, of 35 Traynham Road died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. A native of Carter County, Ky., Mr. Hulett was a son of the late John Henry and Edna Pearl Runk Hulett. He was a retired electrician. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Little-Ward Funeral Home. Burial will be in Nicholson Cemetery, Nicholson. Survivors include his wife, Sara Jo Jordan Hulett; five daughters, Jo Ann Brown and Jackie Hulett, both of Commerce, Kathy Casper, Nicholson, Tammy Lynn Fields, Jefferson, and Sue Ellen Hulett, Hull; a brother, Arthur Hulett, Napoleon, Ohio; two sisters, Dora Florence Gilbert, Statesville, N.C., and Judy Sue Gilbert, Dupont, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Franklin Hull Watkinsville Franklin Hull, 34, of 11 Bond Drive died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Hull was a son of Thomas and Sarah Hull, Stephens. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Stephens. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. Calvin Turner, W.R. Flint and Michael Gresham officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Kemetto Hull, Bethlehem; a sister, Patricia Smith, Stephens; a daughter, Franquetta Hull, Woodville; three stepsons, Jaeovion Lee, Shonderico Lee and Montrellis Farley, all of Bethlehem. Bobby Jones Elberton Bobby Dwayne Jones, 36, of 1791 Hulme Chapel Road died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Jones was a son of Lucille Brown Wilhite, Elberton, and the late Charlie Melvin Jones. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and a sandblaster at Standard Granite Co. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Carl Herring and Floyd Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Gaines Chapel Cemetery, Hart County. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Dora Ann Bridges Jones; his stepfather, Douglas Wilhite, Elberton; two daughters, April Michelle Jones and Jennifer Lynn Jones, both of Bowman; a son, Justin Dwayne Jones, Bowman; two sisters, Robin Wilhite Bonds, Elberton, and Lisa Wilhite Johnson, Calhoun Falls, S.C.; and a brother, Melvin Jones, Elberton. Sanders Statham Zack L. Sanders, 69, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. Mr. Sanders was a son of the late Robert Lee and Prudie Bell Sikes Sanders and was the widower of Mary Frances Banks Sanders. He was retired from Harrison's Poultry as a night watchman and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Paul Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Gilreath, Statham; a son, Randall Sanders, Statham; a sister, Marie Wilson, Statham; a brother, Charles Sanders, Statham; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Bertha Smith Bogart Bertha Poole Smith, 87, of 46 Pete Dickens Road died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Charlie B. and Nora Kesler Poole and was the widow of Wafford Smith. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Sallie Pruitt Kesler Poole. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mill Shoal Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Survivors include a sister, Nell Shaw, Hartwell; three brothers, Charles Poole and Verner Poole, both of Hartwell, and Robert Herman Poole, Athens. Pallbearers will be Doug Poole, Steve Shaw, William Poole, Stanley Poole, Robert Poole and Richard Hooper. Irene Thornton Hartwell Irene Thornton, 72, of 280 Reynolds St. died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998. A native of Hartwell, Mrs. Thornton was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Waller. She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. S.T. Grimes officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Beorthy Thornton; four children, Annie Crawford and Randall C. Crawford, both of Hartwell, Pamela C. Bowers, Clarkston, and A. Dorothy Vickery Toccoa Mary Dorothy Vickery, 74, of Vickery Road, Route 2, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Vickery was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lizzie Wheeler Vickery. She was employed by Coats and Clarke and a member of Tugalo Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Westbrooks officiating. Burial will be in Tugalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Bertha Collins and Mazie Preston, both of Toccoa; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Boyd, Howard Bailey, Roger Grafton, Kevin Bohannon, Mike Whitlock and Todd Jarrard.
