May St. died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. Boles was a daughter of the late George W. and Molly Ferguson Casper and the widow of Randall Boles. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Kenneth Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Betty B. Brinkley, 78, formerly of Ficklin, died Saturday, March 21, 1998. Mr. Brinkley was a son of the late William Sr. and Maggie Brinkley. Before moving to Cincinnati in 1951, he was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Crawfordville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Mammie Lee Martin, Siloam; two brothers, Abraham Brinkley, Siloam, and Jimmie Brinkley, Cincinnati, Ohio; and 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy Burns Eastanollee Dorothy Williams Burns, 75, of Eastanollee School Road died Friday, March 27, 1998. Mrs. Burns was a daughter of the late J.B. and Thelma Jaynes Williams and the widow of Ullen Dewhitt Burns. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Herbert Doud officiating. Survivors include three sons, Ken Burns, Seneca, S.C., the Rev. Lester Dixon Elberton Lester Hoyt Dixon, 83, of 2593 Dr. George Ward Road, the Fortsonia Community, died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Dixon was a son of the late William Marshall and Lucy Melinda Guest Dixon. He was a retired profile operator in the granite industry and a carpenter, and was a member of Eliam United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton, with the Revs. Mary Porter, Kenneth Dietle and Phillip Hart officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Maxine Green Commerce Maxine Byrd Green, 82, of 343 Dogwood Trail died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Marion County, Ala., Mrs. Green was a daughter of the late W.C. and Erabina (Atkins) Byrd and the widow of Troy Lee Green. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church. She was a former member of Fleming Baptist Church in Augusta. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. David Harbin officiating. Burial will be in Westover Cemetery, Augusta. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. King was a son of the late William T. King and Emily Lovingood King. He was the owner and operator of King Sheet Metal in Elberton and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was twice married, first to the late Lavenia Yarborough King and then to Ineata Ruff King. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, with Dr. C.E. Jackson III officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. Palmer was a daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Waters Sturdivant and the widow of Earnest Palmer. She was a member of Whistleville Christian Church. A native of Dalton, Mrs. Powell was a daughter of the late John C. and Nora Walsh Dunn and the widow of C. Van Powell. She lived most of her life in Elberton and was a member of the Elberton First Presbyterian Church and the Elk's Women's Auxiliary. She was a nurse's aide at the Elbert County Hospital for many years. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Evans officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Camann, Stuarts Draft, Va.; a son, Van Keith Powell, Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Mary Chapman, Rome; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lillian Smith Elberton Lillian Bailey North Smith, 91, of Magnolia Estates, Elberton, formerly of Hartwell, died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Bowersville, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Captain Morgan Bailey and Bertie Edwards Bailey. She was twice married, first to the late Dr. William D. North and then to the late Charles B. Smith. She was a veteran of World War II, serving in India and Japan. Mrs. Smith was a retired registered nurse with the U.S. Army Nursing Corps, where she served as a captain. She was a former member of the Hartwell Pilot Club, an Emeritus member of the Nancy Hart Chapter of the OES #398, past district grand deputy, District #4 OES of Georgia, and the DAV and American Legion. Mrs. Smith was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church and a former member of the Friendship Sunday school class. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home, Hartwell. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Survivors include a step-son, Dr. William D. North Jr., Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Delree Boykin, Clemson, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. James Teng Athens James Teng, 58, died Thursday, March 12, 1998. A native of Taiwan, Mr. Teng was a son of the late Schnting and Mei Wai Liu Teng. He had made his home in Athens for the past three years. Mr. Teng was the owner and operator of a laundromat. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Louis Liu Teng, Columbia, S.C.; a daughter, Sharon Teng, Columbia, S.C.; and a son, Jensen Teng, Columbia, S.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today. Randall Terrell Colbert Randall Lee Terrell, 49, of 1530 Foote-McClellan Road died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Forsyth County, Mr. Terrell was a son of the late Robert and Blanche Weaver Terrell. He was an employee at Georgia Power for the past 26 years. He was also a league bowler in Athens for many years. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Albert AsKew officiating. Survivors include his wife, Emma Butler Terrell; two sons, Christopher Terrell and Ryan Terrell, both of Colbert; three sisters, Mary Holmes, Ruby Terrell and Lucy Terrell, all of Hartwell; four brothers, Edward Terrell, David Terrell, Jimmy Terrell and Perry Terrell, all of Hartwell; and a grandson, Kristopher Terrell. Albert Wier Jr. Marietta Albert M. Wier Jr., 84, died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Wier married the former Carolyn Mills of Savannah in 1933 and resided in Athens with his family. He worked for North Georgia Brokerage Company, the family business. In 1960, he married the former Grace Barnes of Atlanta and moved to Bainbridge, where he established the Southeastern Mineral Company in conjunction with several local businessmen. In 1974, he married the former Elleen Starr Davis Fowler. Following retirement, he resided in Marietta. where he was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the Marietta Rotary Club. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta with the Rev. James Curtis and Sarah Claire Franklin officiating. Survivors include his wife, Elleen Davis Wier; three daughters, Glenn Wier Franklin, Nassau, Bahamas, Starr Johnson, Marietta, and Shelley Robertson, Norfolk, Va.; four sons, Albert W. A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of Rebecca Hill Brown of Canon and the late Shedd Brown and the widow of Elmer Wilkins. She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Royston. Lula Williamson Commerce Lula Colbert Williamson, 87, of Maysville Road died Friday, March 27, 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Williamson was the widow of Coy Williamson Sr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Conchetta Sims. She was a member of Hurrican Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Hurrican Grove Baptist Church, Commerce, with the Rev. Ralph Aker officiating. A wake is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hurrican Grove Baptist Church.
