A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Aaron was a daughter of the late James Carlton and Maggie Bradley McLeroy and was the widow of William Aaron. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Prospect UMC with the Rev. Stephen Haskill officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a son, J.W. Aaron, Athens; a sister, Alverine Thurmond, Covington; two brothers, Albert McLeroy, Athens, and Lester McLeroy, Stone Mountain; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Carlisle was a son of Richard Marvin and Doris Ruprecht Carlisle, Alpharetta. He was a member of The Catholic Center of the University of Georgia, was active in Boy Scout Troop 397 and a was volunteer for the Oglethorpe County school system. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today at The Catholic Center of the University of Georgia with the Rev. John McDowell and Deacon James Gaudin officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Jeanelle M. Carlisle; a son, Jason Michael Carlisle, Winterville; a sister, Debbie Parks, Cumming; a brother, Bruce M. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Crump was a daughter of the late Neal and Estelle James Lunsford and was the widow of J.H. "Hearst" Crump. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Clydie Sue Crump. She was retired from Hartwell Garment Co. and a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Wayne Durden officiating. Burial will be in Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. A native of Carter County, Ky., Mr. Hulett was a son of the late John Henry and Edna Pearl Runk Hulett. He was a retired electrician. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Eloise Klose Woodland, Calif. Eloise Atwood Klose, 82, formerly of Athens, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998. A native of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Klose was a daughter of the late Witherle and Inza Atwood. She moved to Athens with her husband, a chemist for the USDA, when he was transferred to the research division of Richard Russell Laboratory. They were active in Athens bridge clubs and Athens Unitarian Fellowship. She was a homemaker, and while in Athens helped establish a credit union for low-income people. She was active in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Albany High School Band Boosters and Order of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Unitarian Church, both in Davis, and the Senior Citizens Center in Woodland. Memorial services were Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, at Unitarian Church of Davis. Burial was in Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland. Survivors include her husband, Alvin A. Klose; a daughter, Stephanie Klose, Woodland; two sons, Don Klose, Berkeley, Calif., and Bob Klose, Sebastopol, Calif.; a sister, Margaret Miller, Richmond, Calif.; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews. McCurley Jr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Ann McCurley. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Cleo Moody Athens Cleo Bryant Moody, 86, of 310 Best Drive died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. A native of Walton County, Mrs. Moody was a daughter of the late Frank and Lila Mitchum Bryant and was the widow of William Griffin Moody Sr. She lived most of her life in Athens and was a homemaker and a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998, at Prince Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Ricketts and Miller Huckabee officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. A native of Lumpkin County, Mrs. Myers was a daughter of the late Lewis and Lou Clemmons Black and was the widow of Dewey Myers Sr. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dewey Myers Jr. and William Thomas Myers. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, with the Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating. Burial will be in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church, Cleveland. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Myers, Cleveland, and Ethelene Keller, Mount Airy; a son, Ed Myers, Banks County; two sisters, Anna Oliver, Clermont, and Mary Collins, Atlanta; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Henry Parsons Athens Henry H. Parsons of 130 Manorhaven Court died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998. Mr. Parsons, a native of Oconee County, was the son of the late Al and Maggie Dickens Parsons and the widower of Joanna Gable Parsons. He worked with Piedmont Market as a butcher beginning in 1938, and he opened his own business, Parsons Brothers Market, with his brother Harold in the late 1950s, which he operated until 1981. He had worked for several grocers as a butcher until recent years. Mr. Parsons served with the Army/Air Force as a radar technician during World War II, where he received the Good Conduct Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with one silver star and one bronze star. He was a member of Rotary Club and was involved with the Community Council on Aging. Mr. Parsons was member of First Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and was a member of Friendship Bible Class. Funeral services were Monday, October 26, 1998 at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church with Rev. Ray Austin officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston. Survivors include two daughters, Gayle Carswell, Ashburn, and DeDe Guest, Athens; two sons, Randy Parsons and Rucker Parsons, both of Athens; a brother, Harold Parsons, Bishop; 6 grandchildren, Sadie Parsons, Jim Carswell, Rick Carswell, Pat Ford, Keith Guest Jr. and Frank Guest; five great-grandchildren, James Carswell, Callie Carswell, Bryan Woodruff, Cara Ford and Katy Ford, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Maidee Sheridan AthensMaidee Beers Sheridan died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at Athens Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was 93. A native of Harris County, Mrs. Sheridan had lived for the past nine years in Athens, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. Her parents were the late Charles Beers and Ella Lawson Beers of Cataula. She was the widow of John H. Sheridan. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, with the Rev. Jon Appleton of First Baptist Church officiating. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte S. and Millard Grimes, Athens; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, James S. and Diane Grimes, Athens; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Kathryn and David Garrett, Norcross, and Laura and Stuart Cofer, Athens; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren Garrett and Forrest Garrett, Norcross, and Sheridan Cofer, Athens. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Travis D. and Sallie Mae Herron Smith. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired after 31 years of service at Coats & Clark, was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4346 and of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Elrod officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens with VFW Post 4346 in charge of military services.
