Her father was L. David Weller Jr. She was a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School and the University of Georgia. She continued her education and graduated with honors from The National Center for Paralegal Studies, Atlanta, Georgia. She had worked in Atlanta as a paralegal and in the office of Dr. R. Lawrence George for the past 10 years. Kimberleigh was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, the American Cancer Society Auxiliary and active in the Cedar Creek Civic Association. He was a Georgia Baptist pastor for 35 years, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He began his career as a pastor in 1954 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Athens, and served churches in Colbert, Cornelia and Milledgeville.
