Mrs. Brooks was a retired office manager with Lawyers Title Insurance and a member of Bluff Presbyterian Church, Wade, N.C. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Duluth First Baptist Church with the Revs. David Parker and Dick Baker officiating. Burial will be in Duluth City Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2;30 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Clinton Brooks; a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Brooks Krumpe, Hull; two sons, Theo C. Brooks, Crawfordville, and Wilbur Clinton Brooks Jr., Winston; a brother, Carroll B. Maxwell, Apopka, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, Norcross, is in charge of arrangements. Charlie Colquitt Athens Charlie Junior Colquitt, 62, of 343 Atlanta Ave. died Thursday, March 26, 1998. A native of Walton County, Mr. Colquitt was a son of the late Charlie and Della Colquitt. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home with Elder Walter Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Spaulding Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Colquitt; three daughters, Mary Ann Daniel, Lizzie Bell Colquitt and Betty Jo Woods, all of Statham; a son, Charlie Colquitt III, Statham; two sisters, Ella Mae Craft, Statham, and Francis Colquitt, Winder; a brother, Elijah Colquitt, Chicago; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Janet Goss Danielsville Janet Elizabeth Goss, 52, of Corey Drive died Monday, March 30, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Clarke County, she was a daughter of Sybil Gabriel Gooch of Athens and the late Luther Gooch. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and Sunday school teacher, serving 25 years at Bluestone Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be missed by her many friends. The family takes great comfort in knowing she is with the Lord Jesus Christ, having trusted Him as her savior at a children's camp at age 10. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, March 31, 1998, at Bluestone Baptist Church with the Revs. David McDonald, Ray Jenkins and Andy Huff officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Mark Goss of Danielsville; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Tim Shubert of Colbert; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Vicki Gooch of Watkinsville; and two grandchildren, Simone Shubert and Sasha Shubert.
