A native of Ill., Mr. Blakeman was a son of the late Harvey and Ruth Willis Blakeman and was the widower of Jean Elizabeth Loomis Blakeman. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Athens Christian Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, with the Revs. Mark Clark and Carl Shearer officiating. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ann Wilkins, El Paso, Texas; two sons, Chuck Blakeman, Colbert, and Lester Lee Blakeman, Dover, Del.; a sister, Helen Reynolds, Ill.; two brothers, Jim Blakeman, Ark. and Thales Blakeman, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Fred Zimmermann, Marv Westfall, T.L. Turman, Conrad Spratlin, Rod Walston and Gary Webb. Dorthy J. Edinger Madison Dorthy June Edinger, 78, of 1221 Mission Road died Monday, June 28, 1999. A native of Coring, N.Y., Ms. Edinger was a daughter of the late Clarence Ray Edinger and Irma Gates. She was a missionary. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Peterson officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Baywood Gardens. Survivors include a brother, Frank Edinger, Philadelphia, Pa.; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Simmons Funeral Home. J.C. Hunter Winder J.C. Hunter, 83, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999. A lifelong resident of Barrow County, Mr. Hunter was a daughter of the late Sam and Clydie Perkins Hunter. He was a retiree of the Lockheed Georgia Corporation and was a member of Midway Christian Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home with the Revs. John Birchfield and Hal Tapp officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Martha Sue Hunter; a daughter, Shirley Tiller, Winder; a son, Jimmy Hunter, Pompano Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Harold Hunter and Hubert Hunter, both of Winder; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Sue McCain Winder Sue McCain, 76, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999. Mrs. McCain was a daughter of the late Stephen W. and Bersha Peek Lay and was the widow of Paul McCain. She was preceded in death by a son, David McCain. She was retired from Russell Nursing Home and was a member of New Pentecost United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Lemore and Ronald Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in New Pentecost Methodist Church cemetery. Survivors include a son, Stephen McCain, Winder; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Pentecost Methodist Church Building Fund.
