He was a graduate of Martin Institute and a graduate of the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He served in WWII, in the United States Army where he received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He retired from the Jackson Electric Membership Corporation with more than 40 years of service. Mrs. Prickett was the widow of Harold Douglas Hubert, married from 1936 until his death in 1961 and W. Lawrence Prickett, married from 1969 until his death in 1984. She was a 1933 graduate of Mississippi State College with a degree in education. She taught elementary school for many years for the Clarke County Board of Education. Mrs. Prickett was a devout Methodist and very active in Tuckston United Methodist Church, WMU and Stella Hancock Bible Class until her health declined in 1989. She will be remembered most for her sweetness, caring and concern for others and simple love of life.
