Cody Craven Pendergrass Clara Eunice Cody Craven, 89, of Mountain Creek Church Road, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. Mrs. Craven was a daughter of the late Dan and Julia Hulsey Cody and was the widow of Thomas E. Craven. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Craven Smith; a son, Herman N. Craven; and an infant son. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Talmo Baptist Church, with the Revs. Paul Wade and Charles Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include: three daughters, Elinor Brooks, Pendergrass, Edith Beatty, Belmont, and Rita Mathis, Commerce; a son, Lloyd Craven, Pendergrass; two sisters, Lillie Mae Ferguson, Gillsville, and Maggie Pethel, Talmo; four brothers, Hubert Tate, Cumming, Howard Tate, Eastman, J.N. "John" Tate, Hoschton and Odis Tate, Pendergrass; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Hoffman, 88, of 538 North Alexander Ave., died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. A native of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Mr. Hoffman was a resident of Wilkes County for 65 years, was an evangelist and was a member of the Washington Chapel. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Washington Chapel, with Peter Hoffmann and Tommy Bunch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include: a daughter, Sonia A. Hoffman, Washington; a son, Tommy Hoffman, Chatsworth; two sisters, Marie Hoffman, Washington, and Dorothy Pacifico, Raritan, N.J.; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronnie L. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was deacon of Bethany Baptist Church and a member of the Gideons. A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Lunsford was a son of the late Joseph L. Lunsford and Ione Elizabeth Thornton Lunsford and was the widower of Elizabeth Armour Lunsford. He was a retired insurance agent and was a Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member and deacon emeritus at Sardis Baptist Church. A native of Taliaferro County, Mrs. Moon was a daughter of the late Henry Turnbull and Mary Pearl Ayers Turnbull and was the widow of Marvin Moon. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Huff. Pat Sosebee Cornelia Ross Patton "Pat" Sosebee, 62, of 6601 Pea Ridge Road, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. A native of Cornelia, Mr. Sosebee was a son of the late Ross William and Laura Stovall Sosebee. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and later retired from the security department of the Lee Arrendale State Prison. He attended the Demorest Federated Church and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Cornelia Veterans of Foreign Wars. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Habersham Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Marcus Martin officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens, with military honors accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4346. Survivors include: his wife, Dora C. Myjuster Wilker Athens Myjuster Wilker died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999. Mr. Wilker was a son of the late Edgar and Lizzie Wilker and was the widower of Clara Mae Smith Wilker. He was a textile machinist at Chicopee Manufacturing Company, retiring after the demise of the plant and 36 years of service. He was a dedicated and conscientious employee and received numerous awards for his service. He enjoyed gardening, delighting in watching his flowers and vegetables flourish. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Baptist Church, with the Revs. Hubert Dotson and Charles Mack officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, W.
