A native of Oconee County, Mr. Beacham was a son of the late Calvin H. and Leila Bell Beacham. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was Athens oldest retired funeral director. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert H. Bohler Jr. officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Jan Blakeslee, Marietta; two sons, James N. Beacham, Woodstock, and Donald C. Beacham, Athens; a sister, Mrs. William M. Porter, Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, PO Box 5575, Athens, GA 30604. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Brown was a son of the late Jim and Anniebell Williams Brown. He was a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hurricane Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Gantt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Maebell Fruster Brown; a daughter, Ada Merriett, Martin; two sons, Clyde Brown Jr. and Howard Brown, both of Martin; and a sister, Retha Thorpe, Decatur. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home, Toccoa. Edgar Boswell "Ed" Finch Greensboro Edgar Boswell "Ed" Finch, 91, of 1561 E. Broad St. died Thursday, June 3, 1999. A lifelong resident of Greene County, Mr. Finch was a son of the late John and Lottie Addahoe Finch and was the widower of Macy Wilson Finch. He was employed by the U.S. Soil Conservation & Forestry Service and was the owner and operator of Finch's Dairy. He was a member of Penfield Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Greenview Cemetery with the Rev. Reggie Haslett officiating. Survivors include a son, Harold E. Finch; three sisters, Inez Tuck, Tucker, Maggie Whitting, Lithonia, and Frances Clifton, Greensboro; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Myrtle A. Patterson Greensboro Myrtle A. Patterson, 79, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Patterson was a daughter of the late Alfred J. and Julia Pearl Amoss Atkinson and was the widow of Pat Patterson. She was an insurance clerk at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. She was a 1937 graduate of Greensboro High School and attended the University of Georgia. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Center Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Sizemore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
