Freeman Auburn Fannie Snellings Freeman, 92, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999. Mrs. Freeman was a daughter of the late Obe and Elizabeth "Bessie" Thompson Snellings. She was a member of Bethabra Baptist Church and Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Jack Burgess and Benny Tate officiating. Burial will be in Bethabra Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Cathryn Allen, Auburn; a son, Marvin Freeman, Griffin; two sisters, Edna Tullis and Mildred Blackwell, both of Auburn; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Charlie H. Lunceford Crawfordville Charlie Hawes Lunceford, 97, of 108 Alexander St. died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999. A native of Taliaferro County, Mr. Lunceford was a son of the late Overton and Clara Cannon Lunceford and was the widower of Florence Meadows Lunceford. He was retired as a self-employed painter and bus driver. He was a member of Carters Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Carters Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, with the Revs. Thompson Holliman and Harold Combs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Mabel Fouche, Washington; a brother, Owens Lunceford, Crawford; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Echols, Allen Armour, Calvin Combs, Max Armour, Wayne Poss and Bill Callaway. Perry Danielsville Celeste Freeman Perry, 64, of 985 Hwy 29 N, died August 3. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Perry was the granddaughter of the late Noah L. and Virginia Garland and the late R.M. and Maude Thomas Freeman and the daughter of the late Elmer Freeman and Julia Garland Freeman of Toccoa. She had lived in Madison County since 1961 and was a member of Danielsville Baptist Church. She was retired from the Department of Vocational Education at UGA. She was predeceased by a brother, R.M. Freeman. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes Madison Chapel. Revs. Mike Hudman and Hilton Purvis will officiate. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Eugene Greene, Kenneth Williamson, Bill Hooper, Jimmie Duncan, Ken Clark, and George Strickland. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Danielsville Baptist Church, the Faculty and Staff of the College of Education at UGA, and members of the Booger Hill Ramblers. Survivors, other than her mother, include her husband, Robert W. Perry of Danielsville; two sons and daughters in law, Dale and Carolyn Perry of Hull and Marc and Donna Perry of Danielsville; two sisters, Eleanor Morrow of Naples, NC and Cerelle Holcomb of Martin, GA; a brother, Harold Freeman of Avalon, GA; and five grandchildren, Jessica Perry and Mandy Perry, both of Hull and Robert Marc Perry, Jr., Kayla Perry, and Chandler Perry, all of Danielsville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Houston `Rick' Rickard Martin Houston "Rick" Rickard, 70, of 17795 Georgia Highway 17 died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999. A native of Tuscombia, Ala., Mr. Richard was a son of the late O.L. and Bessie Adams Rickard. He was a former resident of Cleveland, Ohio, Atlanta and Fairplay, S.C. before moving to Martin eight years ago. He was a retired foreman with 26 years of service to General Motors and was owner of Rick-Ann's Beauty Salon in North Royalton, Ohio. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Japan. He was a member of Martin Baptist Church and Martin Lions Club. He was a graduate of General Motors Institute, Flint, Mich., and Lincoln Institute of Management, Cleveland, Ohio. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Martin Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Rogers and Clarence Davis officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Annelle Boswell Rickard; three sisters, Flora O'Neal, Gertrude Boyles, both of Birmingham, Ala., and Shirley Moore, Trussville, Ala.; a brother, Raymond Rickard, Hazel Green, Ala.; nieces and nephews.
