DuBose Darlington, S.C. Dr. Thomas W. DuBose, 54, formerly of Royston, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1999. A native of Lee County, S.C., Dr. DuBose was a son of Judy Parnell DuBose and the late Tom Ben DuBose. He held Th.B., Th.M., M.S., D.C.C. and Th.D. degrees from several universities and seminaries, including Holmes College of the Bible, Greenville, Southwestern College, Oklahoma, Erskin Theological Seminary, Georgia, Clarkesville School of Theology, Tenn., Bethany Theological Seminary, Ala., and Southern Christian University, Ala. He graduated cum laude in his M.S. program and summa cum laude in his D.C.C. program. He served as Chancellor of Calvary Theological Seminary, was associated with the Call To Life Ministries and served on the Pentecostal Holiness Church Conference for 35 years. He was most recently the pastor and member of Christian Pathway Fellowship, Lamar, S.C. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Lamar First Baptist Church, Lamar, S.C. Burial will be in the Lamar Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Martha Jones DuBose; three daughters, Jenohn M. DuBose and Kaja A. DuBose, both of Royston, and Sonya DuBose Yancey, Greenville, Ala.; a son, Kevin J. DuBose, Royston; a sister, Terry D. Graham, Lamar, S.C.; and a brother, Jerry DuBose, Lamar, S.C. Mrs. Fagan was a daughter of the late William Albert and Nancy Segars Page. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Winder. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, with the Revs. John Talley and Ronald Hewett officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her husband, James S. Fagan; two sisters, Willie Nelson and Jewel Langford, both of Winder; two brothers, Thomas Page, Winder, and Lewis Page, Lawton, Okla.; and nieces and nephews. Cynthia A. Harper Elberton Cynthia A. Harper, of 652 Pulliam St. died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Harper was a daughter of the late Albert Harper and Roberta Willis Harper. She was a member of Cades Chapel Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cades Baptist Church with the Rev. James Allen Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Heights Cemetery. Hudson, 91, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. A native of Henderson County, Mrs. Hudson was a daughter of the late George and Emma Edney Freeman and was the widow of Ernest Hudson. Jones, 69, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999. Mr. Jones was a son of the late Lewis C. and Ruby Phillips Jones. He worked in real estate and was a member of Pentecost United Methodist Church. McCaleb Bishop Charles H. McCaleb, 55, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1998. A native of Knoxville, Tenn., Mr. McCaleb was a son of Mary B. McCaleb and the late Monroe McCaleb. C.D. Simmons Toccoa Clyde Davis "C.D." Simmons Sr., 57, of South Big A Road, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Simmons was a son of Cleo Davis Simmons and the late Clyde Harvey Simmons. He was an employee with Stephens County School System at Liberty Elementary. He worked at WABCO for 10 years and formerly owned and operated Big A Fiberglass. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Whitlock Mortuary, with the Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Patsy W. Torres, 48, of 1232-2 Falls Creek Lane, former weekend editor of the Athens Daily News and Banner-Herald, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999. A native of California, Mr. Torres was copy chief at Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Journal. He was a graduate of San Pedro High School, San Pedro, Calif., and received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from California State University at Long Beach, Calif. Mr. Torres was weekend editor of the Athens newspapers from May 1992 to April 1996, and had worked as a copy editor for the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post, and several other daily newspapers in the United States. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Torres. Calling hours are from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Morehead Chapel of McEwen Funeral Home, 727 E. Morehead St. Joe D.
