A native of Missouri, Mrs. Ferguson was a daughter of the late Mont and Byrtle Lowrance Gant, and was the widow of Millard Ferguson. She had lived most of her life in Habersham County, was employed by Mount Vernon Mills, and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Austin Kelly officiating. Burial will be in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include five daughters, Sherrie Holland, Mount Airy, Patti Thompson, Alto, Gail Ferguson and Benita Williams, both of Cornelia, and Tammy McDuffie, Baldwin; a son, Monty "Bee Bo" Ferguson, Mount Airy; three sisters, Sandie Ragan and Mett Finn, Vienna, Mo., and Imogene Jones, Licking, Mo.; two brothers, Jerry Gant and Fuzz Gant, both of Vienna, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren. The family is at the residence. Carlos D. Long Athens Carlos D. Long, 22, of 135 Herbert Road, died Thursday, July 1, 1999. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Long was a son of Corine Daniels and Elmer Long. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Lexington, with the Rev. B.J. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sanetra Long; a daughter, Amber Long, Athens; three sons, Carlos D. Long Jr., Melchezadk Long, and Cartavious Sanders, all of Athens; his stepfather, Clarence Daniels, Athens; two sisters, Latarcia Harper and Catina Daniels, both of Athens; three brothers, Roger Long, Travis Daniels, and Toby Daniels, all of Athens; grandparents Rosa Lee Johnson, Athens, Eunice Long, Lexington, Nathaniel Ball, Athens, Napoleon Long, Lexington; and a great-grandmother, Ruby Alice Barnett, Athens. Bobby Lewis Rogers Elberton Bobby Lewis Rogers, 63, of 1234 Flagstone Road, died Saturday, July 3, 1999. A native of Ware Shoals, S.C., Mr. Rogers was a son of the late Furman Rogers and Mary Helen Clark. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Cleveland and Callie Clark, and his aunts and an uncle. He retired from Brown Transport Trucking Co. after 32 years of service. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean conflict. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Rogers. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, with the Rev. Donald Mulkey officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton. Survivors include his wife, Elaine McLanahan Rogers; two daughters, Renee Moon and Jill Rogers, both of Elberton; and a grandchild. Savage, 84, formerly of Great Falls, S.C., and Hull, died Friday, July 2, 1999. Mr. Savage was a son of the late Harrison and Rose Savage. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Daphne Rowe. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. He was a graduate of John Milledge Academy and North Georgia Tech, and was employed at Denon Digital, Madison, as an electronic technician. He was formerly employed by Roger Pump Company, Commerce. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at White Columns Funeral Home, Milledgeville, with the Rev. Tim Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
