Mrs. Brooks was a daughter of Shirley Allen of Williamsburg. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Eberhart & Son Mortuary. Burial will be Thursday in Williamsburg Memorial Garden, Williamsburg. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include three daughters, Cidnell Allen and Star Allen, both of Williamsburg, and Shawntee Brooks, Winder; fiance, Lansilo Mason, Winder; a sister, Victoria Tadau, Maryland; five brothers, George Allen, Kerman Allen, and James Allen, all of Williamsburg, and Steve Allen and William Allen, both of Winder; and a grandchild. Mabel Moore Hopkins Washington Mabel Moore Hopkins, 102, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. A native of Taliaferro County, Mrs. Hopkins was a daughter of the late George and Georgia Drinkard Moore and was the widow of Lewis C. Hopkins. She was a housewife and was a member of Clifford Grove Baptist Church. She resided in the Lundberg Community for 82 years. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Clifford Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Allen Danner officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Denard, Conyers, and Virginia Hobbs, Vidalia; two sons, Leonard Hopkins and Herbert Hopkins, both of Washington; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Sue Lee Elberton Susan Benita "Sue" Fender Lee, 79, of 182 Heard Drive, died Friday, June 4, 1999. A native of Valdosta, Mrs. Lee was a daughter of the late James and Benita Tomlinson Fender and was the widow of Lester Lee Jr. She was a homemaker and was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Elmhurst Cemetery, with the Rev. Wallace Wheeles officiating. Survivors include a son, James Lester "Jim" Lee, Alpharetta; two sisters, Lucy Tanner and Libby Thomas, both of Valdosta; and two grandsons. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Edwin Key Randolph Athens Edwin Key Randolph, 76, of 250 Plum Nelly Road, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999. A lifelong resident of Athens, Mr. Randolph was a son of the late Elmo A. and Mary Stone Randolph. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a fighter pilot. He was retired as senior vice president of the corporate banking division with SunTrust Bank. He began his banking career with C&S Bank, then went to work for National Bank of Athens, and then SunTrust Bank. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Lynn Willingham and Frank Granger officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Brooks Randolph; a stepson, Andy Starr, Athens; a sister, Catherine Beverly, Ochlocknee; a brother, Elmo A. Randolph Jr., Ottawa, Canada; nieces and nephews. Harvey Jordan Smith Commerce Harvey Jordan Smith, 72, of 258 Highway 64, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. Mr. Smith was a son of the late Andrew and Maude Dills Smith. He was a natural gas technician with the city of Commerce. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ivie Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burial will be in Webbs Creek Cemetery, Homer. Leon Kaye Thurmond Athens Leon Kay Thurmond, 62, of 1482 Brock Road, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Thurmond was a son of the late Joseph Lafayette and Annie Mae Damron Thurmond. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Thurmond, Joe Thurmond, Cohen Thurmond and Paul Thurmond. He was retired from Coca-Cola of Athens after 32 years of service and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Gainesville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Ronnie Healan and Earl Jarrard officiating. Burial will be in Redstone United Methodist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Vanessa Jean Thurmond, Athens; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Merdell) Evans, Athens; a longtime friend, Ellean Coley, Gainesville; and three grandchildren. A native of Towns County, Mr. Waters was a son of the late William Martin and Lourette Wheeler Waters. He was a retired saw-miller and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and American Legion Post 215 in Homer. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, with the Revs. Roy Rogers and Gene Todd officiating. Burial will be in Roberts-Jackson-Murray Cemetery. Dessie Bell Watson Pendergrass Dessie Bell Watson, 90, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Watson was a daughter of the late Bud and Ann Lemley Cannon. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Watson, and three sons, Paul Watson, Johnny Watson and Billy Ray Watson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church.
