A native of Benld, Ill., Mr. Homyk was a son of the late Theodore and Efrosina Homyk and was the widower of Georgia Mae Hardeman Homyk. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bradley University and served with the CCC's during World War II. He was retired from Wabco, formerly Letourneau Westinghouse, after 34 years of service and continued his private accounting business. He was a member of the Masonic order since 1945, mostly at Toccoa Lodge 309. He was the credit union manager of the North Georgia Credit Union, formerly the Wabco/Letourneau Credit Union from Aug. 1949-Nov. 1951 and served as an appointed member of the Supervisory Committee since 1985. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church of Benld, and attended First United Methodist Church of Toccoa, where he was a member of the Curtis Wesley Bible class, and Grace Baptist Church, Eastanollee. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jim Bocian, Joel Bradberry and Dr. Theodore Homyk Jr. officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Grenville, S.C. Survivors include his wife, Buena Coe Smalley Homyk; a daughter, Rhonda H. Morton, Germantown, Tenn.; two sons, Theodore Homyk Jr., Charlottesville, Va., and Mark W. Homyk, Thomasville; two stepdaughters, Jo-Lynn Wayne, Huntsville, Ala., and Kathy Johnson, Suwanee; two stepsons, Jerry Smalley and Ed Smalley, both of Smyrna; 11 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; a great-grandson; and four step-great-grandchildren.
