Beasley Union Point Edward H. Beasley, 76, of 6 Royal Manor Apartments died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999. A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Beasley was a son of the late Hershel and Eva Beasley. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Crawfordville. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 and then worked as a maintenance technician for the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1978. Services will be at noon today at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. R. Hurst officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Beasley; a son, Carnell Beasley, Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Fannie Vaughn, Smyrna, Juanita Sanders and Wilhelmina Mitchell, both of Crawfordville; a brother, Robert Beasley, Crawfordville; a grandchild; nieces and nephews. Watts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dan Crowe Royston Daniel Emerson "Dan" Crowe, 87, of 507 College St. Royston, Ga. died Thursday at his home. Mr. Crowe was born in Franklin County, July 6, 1912 a son of the late Spurgeon and Lily Jordan Crowe. He was a retired water works superintendent with the City of Royston and was a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church. His wife was the late Ruth Adams Crowe. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 1999 at the Pruitte Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Anthony and Rev. Larry Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zell Blackmon Jr., Phil Crowe, Brown Thornton, Myron Crowe and Donald Moore. Survivors include a son, Don Crowe, Royston, Ga.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dana Ruth Wiggins and Bill Wiggins, Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Valerie Atkinson, Jacksonville, Fla., Jeff Wiggins, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Gina Nell, Middleburg, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Hilda Matthews, and two brothers, Phil Crowe and Ned Crowe. Franklin Daniel Gosnell Alto Franklin Daniel Gosnell, 11, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999. A native of Habersham County, Daniel was a son of Sandra Gosnell King and Johnny King of Alto and Franklin Bush of Homer. He would have been a student at South Habersham Middle School this year. He attended Congregational Holiness Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Alto Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Leon Brown and Julius Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Ivy Gosnell, Alto; two half sisters, Jacquelyn Bush and Synoria Bush, both of Homer; two half brothers, Johnny Lee Gosnell, Cornelia, and Anthony Gosnell, Alto; and his grandmother, Thelma Rogers, Cornelia. A native of Tattnall County, Mrs. Harper was a daughter of the late Walter F. and Beulah B. Padgett Kicklighter and was the widow of J.R. Harper. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Harper Mozingo. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a Sunday school officer for many years. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Sosby and Jerry Stowe officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. A native of Bath, Ill., Mr. Keefer was a son of the late William and Carrie Murphy Keefer and was the widower of Florence McCrea Keefer. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired director of the Association of American Railroad. Mattie H. Martin High Shoals Mattie Hansford Martin, 91, of New High Shoals Road died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999. A native of Madison County and a longtime resident of Athens, Mrs. Martin was a daughter of the late Whit G. and Mattie Mattox Hansford and was the widow of James P. Martin Sr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Janette Smith. She was a retired secretary of Athens General Hospital. She was a Prince Avenue Baptist Church member and teacher for over 50 years. She was a loving parent with many friends. Her life was an inspiration to all those who knew and loved her. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999 at Prince Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor William H. Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Mr. McDaniel was a son of the late James W. and Emma C. McDaniel and was the widower of Rosie Lee McDaniel. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Johns Manville. A native of Guilford County, N.C. and a resident of Athens for the past 12 years, Mr. Murchison was a son of Myrtle Smith Murchison and the late Roy Byrd Murchison of Charlotte, N.C. Dorothy Parris Storey Jefferson Dorothy Parris Storey, 86 of 298 Dickson Drive, Jefferson, Ga. passed away Aug. 5, 1999. Mrs. Storey was the daughter of the late Alfred Greene Parris and Posy Hardin Parris. Mrs. Storey was born in Spartanburg, S.C., January 13, 1913. She attended Ashville-Normal Girl's School and the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Storey was retired from the Dept. of Family and Children's Services. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Jefferson Garden Club. Funeral services will be Saturday Aug. 7th at 10:00 at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson with the Rev.
