A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Nash was a daughter of the late Robert H. and Ophelia Purcell South and was the widow of William Nash. She was retired from Kroger. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Roselane Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Miller officiating. A native of Columbia County, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Henry David and Susan Tankersley Story and was the widow of Joel Holcomb Taylor. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Taylor. She was a graduate of Laura Jones School, Thomson, and Granite Hill and A & M School, Sparta. She was head of housekeeping at Minnie G. Boswell Hospital. She was a member of White Plains Methodist Church, where she was treasurer for over 45 years and was a member of United Methodist Women. She was a school teacher at St. Mary's School and was a salesperson at Ashley's Store and Block's Store. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at White Plains Methodist Church with the Rev. Lyle Allen officiating. Burial will be in White Plains Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Edith Taylor Meeler, New Ellenton, S.C., and Ann Taylor Cook, Washington; a son, Wayne S. (Harry) Hopkins, 87 of Danielsville, Ga., died October 5, 1999. Mr. Hopkins was the son of the late Stiles and Eleanor Hunnicutt Hopkins of Athens, Ga. Harry was a 1934 graduate of the University of Ga. and a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Mr. Hopkins served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and US Army Air Corps during the Second World War. He was a P.O.W. in Italy and Austria for twenty seven months. He retired from the Ga. Department of Labor in 1974. Mr. Hopkins is survived by his wife of 54 years Mrs. Joan Lake Hopkins of Danielsville Ga., a daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Sam DeRaimo of Danielsville and a son and daughter-in-law, Stiles and Debra Hopkins, Danielsville, and a granddaughter, Patti Gay. A memorial service will be held at Bridges Funeral Home Chapel Thursday October 7, 1999 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Claude McBride officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
