A native of Hart County, Mr. Fleming was a son of the late Ebb and Sara Alice Victoria Fowler Fleming. He retired as a machine operator from Hartwell Mills, and was a former employee of Appleton Mill and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Services will be 4 p.m. today at Strickland Funeral Home, Hartwell, with the Rev. Richard Bielski officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife, Sara Elizabeth Moore Fleming; a sister, Mozelle Stamps, Hartwell; and a brother, Wabus Fleming, Dewy Rose. The family is at the residence. Ella Dee Fleming Royston Ella Dee Fleming, 79, of 49 Campbell St., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Fleming was a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie King Pierce and was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Fleming. She was a homemaker and member of Royston Church of God for over 50 years, and Senior Adult Sunday School Class and Happy Days Club. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Royston Church of God, with the Rev. James Gunn officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include: her husband, Hubert A. Fleming; two daughters, Ann Campbell, Royston, and Carol Coile, Monroe; a son, Charles Fleming, Hull; a sister, Maggie Wilburn, Lilburn; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home. Robert C. Hataway Monroe Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Robert C. Hataway, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999. A native of Walton County, Mr. Hataway was a son of Pauline Hataway of Monroe and the late Orrin W. Hataway. He served in the Korean War and the Vietnam, was a member of Masonic Lodge 5, Kyoto, Japan, the Airborne Rangers, Korean Association, Special Forces Association, 187 Airborne Combat Team Association, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4421. Upon retirement, he was employed by UGA Building Services, Athens. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Campton United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Jim Dykes and Billy Pittman officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors at the graveside. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Kesler was a daughter of the late William B. and Savannah Floyd Moorhead and widow of Jack M. Adams and Dock Hershel Kesler. She was the last member of her immediate family. She retired as a seamstress from Hartwell Co., was a former member of Hart County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Live Wire Sunday School Class, and the UMW. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jan Devereaux and Richard Bielski officiating. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Survivors include: a daughter, Jan Campbell, Smyrna; three stepdaughters, Dot Snyder and Wassie Vickery, both of Hartwell, and Ann Cheek, Bowersville; a son, W. McBride, 72, of 223 Kings Ferry Road, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999. A native of Bisbee, Ariz., Mr. McBride was a son of the late Alonzo and Ethel Sue Beals McBride and widower of Billie Mae Jackson McBride. He was a retired shop foreman in the copper mining industry, a member of Mount Hermon Presbyterian Church, Ila, and American Legion Post 32, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Herman Presbyterian Church, Ila, with the Rev. Martha Courie officiating. Survivors include: three sons, Lonny McBride, Comer, Robert Dennis McBride, Casa Grande, Ariz., and Richard Barry McBride, Sacramento, Calif.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. James Minish Atlanta James Buford Minish, 69, of Long Street East Point Trailer Park, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999.
