A native of Banks County, Mr. Crane was a son of the late Dessie Morris and George Crane, and was preceded in death by a son, Philip Crane. He was retired from the trucking industry and was a member of the American Legion. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grove Level Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Harry Tinsley Taliaferro Jr.; her daughter Frances Taliaferro Thomas and son-in-law Emory Morton Thomas of Athens, Georgia; her son Harry Tinsley Taliaferro III of Warsaw, Virginia; two grandsons, Emory Thomas Jr. of Seattle and the Rev. John Taliaferro Thomas of Atlanta; and four great-grandchildren, Marshall Emory Thomas and Julia Marlene Thomas of Seattle; and Emily Anne Thomas and Samuel Taliaferro Thomas of Atlanta. Also surviving are her two sisters, Frances S. Bryan of Louisville, Kentucky, and Margaret S. Caldwell of Munfordville, Kentucky. Born in Anchorage, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Maude Craddock Swope and Victor Farris Swope. Mrs. Taliaferro had been a resident of Richmond for 50 years. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew's Church on Tuesday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends in the parish hall following the service.
