A native of Boaz, Ala., Mr. Amos was a son of Ada Amos, Rainbow City, Ala., and the late Robert Amos. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Amos. He was a self-employed welder in steel manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer. Banister Royston Alice Ann Norris Banister, 65, of 3345 Salem Road, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999. A native of Pendleton, S.C., Mrs. Banister was a daughter of the late Raymond C. Norris Sr. and Rose Roukoskie Norris and was the widow of P.M. Banister Jr. She was retired from Johnson and Johnson, Royston, and was a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Bethany Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul Creason officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
