A native of Greene County, Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late Samuel and Annie Hutchinson and was the widow of James Calep Adams. She was a former member of Copelan Grove Baptist Church and was a member of Antioch Baptist, where she served as a Mother and President of the Mission Board. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist church with the Rev. Charles Reeves officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include nephews and in-laws. Watts Funeral Home, Union Point, is in charge of the arrangements. Annie Hammond Union Point Annie Ruth Moon Hammond, 91, of 507 Carlton Ave. died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. A lifelong resident of Greene County, Mrs. Hammond was a daughter of the late George Whitfield and Loverette Noel Merritt Moon and was the widow of John Hoke Hammond. She was an inspector at Union Point Manufacturing (Chipman Union) and was a manager of English's Easy Stop. She was a member of Walker United Methodist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Walker United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Maeser officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Joann Hanes, Atlanta, Hokie Wright, Lawrenceville, Peggy Murphy, Peoria, Ill. and Katherine English, Union Point; a brother, Harry L. Moon, Watkinsville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Comer Tolbert, Harry Bufford, Terry Burnett, Richard Moon, Deleon Walker, Doug Askew, James Bryan and Billy Ray Hammond. George Dupree Harvell Elberton George Dupree Harvell Sr., 74, of 1715 Ruckersville Circle died Thursday, July 8, 1999. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Harvell was a son of the late James Denver and Lois Tyner Harvell. He was of the Baptist faith, was a retired stonecutter and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Elmhurst Cemetery with the Revs. James Lee Olds and Donald Mulkey officiating. Survivors include his wife, Lenolia Rice Harvell; two daughters, Elaine H. Lester, Elberton, and Camelia H. Owens, Hartwell; two sons, Ethell Harvell, Dewy Rose, and George D, Harvell Jr., Elberton; two sisters, Margaret H. Balchin, Ninety Six, S.C., and Barbara H. Harp, Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, William "Bill" Harvell, Elberton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Holbrooks Toccoa Burris Maston Holbrooks, 61, of 7204 Valley Circle died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. A lifelong resident of Stephens County, Mr. Holbrooks was a son of the late Burris W. and Mary Jane Holbrooks. He was engaged in the trucking industry. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John McKnight officiating. Survivors include his wife, Donna Moore; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Holbrooks, Toccoa; two sons, Steven Rankin Holbrooks, Walhalla, and Jason Masaton Holbrooks, Toccoa; three sisters, Lois Hunter, Clarkesville, Susie Adams and Mindy McJunkin, both of Toccoa; four brothers, Joe T. A native of Wilkes County and a resident of Clarke County for 50 years, Mrs. Rooks was a daughter of the late Amelia Bell Yearby. Swaims, 84, of 2071 Box 61 died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. A native of White County, Mrs. Swaims was a daughter of the late Calvin and Maggie Louise Jones Kytle. She was a homemaker and was a member of Comer First Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Douglas Duncan, Danny Whistle and David McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Henry W. Swaims; two daughters, Maggie D. Watkins, Eastanollee, and Evelyn Keithbrock, Nicholson; two sons, Jay Swaims, Comer, and Thomas Swaims, Albuquerque, N.M.; four sisters, Olivia Randolph and Florance Aaron, both of Athens, Mamie Lou Watkins, Gainesville, and Elizabeth Ledbedder, Clayton; a brother, W.C. Minnie Lou Robinson Athens Minnie Lou Taylor Robinson, 86, of 134 Magnolia St. died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Robinson was a daughter of the late James and Clyde Jones Taylor and was the widow of Roosevelt Robinson. She was a member of Timothy Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Timothy Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry F. Hutchins officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth R. Ireland and Pearlie R. Woods, both of Athens; a sister, Eliza Heard, Detroit, Mich.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
