A native of Oconee County and a longtime resident of Toccoa and Stephens counties, Mrs. Pitts was a daughter of the late Dandy and Sadie Smith Cooper and was the widow of Sherman Pitts. She was preceded in death by three sons, Wilbur Pitts, Marvin Pitts and Curtis Pitts. She was a member of Toccoa Church of God and the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Toccoa Church of God with the Revs. Harlon Noles, Dennis Rafala and Haskell Lee officiating. Burial will be in Zebulon Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Sadie Metcalfe, Toccoa, Mary Kesler, Eastanollee, and Ollie Wood, Griffin; seven sons, Charlie Pitts, Jackson Pitts, Terry Pitts and L.D.
