Abbott Commerce Doris A. Abbott, 80, of 416 Old Colony Place died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Abbott was a daughter of the late Andrew and Laura Albertson, and was widow of Aubrey Doran Abbott. She was a retired teacher's aid. No services are planned. Survivors include two daughters, Doreen Hoffman, Commerce, and Lurine Shelby, Upland; a son, Andrew Doran Abbott, Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Bernice Wagner, Duluth, Minn.; a brother, Stanley Albertson, Duluth, Minn.; and nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Ivie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Roy Thomas Brawner Commerce Roy Thomas Brawner, 74, of 514 Hebron Church Road died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Brawner was a son of the late Tom Watson and Ila Dove Brawner. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a member of the Methodist faith. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pruitte Funeral Home, with the Revs. Truitt Brawner and Marie Price officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens-North. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Whitsel Brawner; two daughters, Barbara Barry, Jefferson, and Jeanette Craig, Homer; two sons, James Thomas Brawner, Maysville, and Ben Brawner, Commerce; three sisters, Ida Mae Beggs, Toccoa, Gatha Bryant, Belton, S.C., and Sue Uldrich, Abbeville, S.C.; two brothers, Jewell Brawner, Carnesville, and Johnny Brawner, Danielsville; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. William Holloman Carlton William "Bud" Holloman, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Holloman was a son of the late Harry E. and Ruby Alma Gunter Holloman. He was a retired wire saw operator in the granite industry and a member of Millstone Baptist Church. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton, with the Rev. B.G. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Carlton City Cemetery. A native of Banks County, Mrs. Seabolt was a daughter of the late Warren and Bertha Caudell Mealor. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Damascus Baptist Church, with the Revs. Roy Rogers and O.L. McCullough officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include three sons, James Mote and Terry Mote, Cornelia, and Wesley Mote, Baldwin; three sisters, Eula Cook, Alto, and Barbara Dill and Marlene Worley, both of Homer; three brothers, Jarvis Mealor, Homer, Loaran Mealor, Demorest, and J.C. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Spratlin was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Nancy Scott Davis, widow of Walter J. Spratlin, and preceded in death by five sons, Walter Thomas Spratlin, Harry L. Spratlin, Weldon E. Spratlin, Sherwood M. Spratlin, and Viron G. Spratlin. She was a member of Hull Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hull Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Viola S. Dillard and Florence S. Hardy, both of Athens, and Florrie S. Hughes, Birmingham; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and a niece and two nephews.
