A native of Barrow County, Mr. Canup was a son of Clyde and Mary Lou Reddick of Winder. He was a former pastor of several churches, was a Brotherhood director and an R.A. director. He was active in the television ministry of Union Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. rusty Newman officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Lynn Canup; two sons, Daniel Canup and Rodney Canup, both of Winder; a sister, Melanie Mathis, Winder; two brothers, Bobby Canup, Winder, and Mitch Reddick, Flowery Branch; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home. Garland P. Dorsey Cornelia Garland P. Dorsey, 56, died Saturday, April 10, 1999. A native of White County, Mr. Dorsey was a son of the late Homer and Sarah Lou Satterfield Dorsey. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, with the Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Burial will be in Mossy Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery, White County. Survivors include two daughters, Robbie Gail Dorsey, Clarkesville, and Candice Lanning, Alto; a son, Dale Dorsey, Demorest; two brothers, Hudson Dorsey, Riverdale, and Frank Dorsey, Gainesville; and three grandchildren. Ernest William Saville Maysville Ernest William Saville, 87, of 185 Cross St., died Saturday, April 10, 1999. A native of Washington County, N.Y., Mr. Saville was a son of the late Frank and Phobie Stewart Saville. He was a retired dairy farmer and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and Phi Delta Lodge 148. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Solid Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mae Lewis Saville; two daughters, Frances Cadotte, Colombia, S.C., and E. Judy Howe, Jefferson; a son, Daniel Saville, Maysville; three sisters, Ethel Manly, Colorado, Mary Oatman, Lynchburg, Va., and Magell Winchell, Hudson Falls, N.Y.; a brother, Gordon Saville, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of the arrangements. Mae Frances Waters Athens Mae Frances Watson Waters, 80, died Saturday, April 10, 1999. A native of Twin City, Mrs. Waters was a daughter of the late Henry and Annie Mae Watson and was the widow of Travis Edward Waters Sr. She graduated from Georgia State College for Women, Milledgeville, in 1938, with a B.A. degree in history and a minor in library science. She taught at Hawkinsville High School for three years, Swainsboro High School for three years, and Athens High-Clarke Central High School for 26 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Twin City First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Durden officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Swainsboro. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Williams, Macon, and Jane Burgess, Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Travis Edward Waters Jr., Duluth, and Charlie L. Waters, Dallas; a brother, Robert Coleman Watson St., Milledgeville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronald Watson, Robert C. Watson Jr., Charlie L. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Wimbush was a son of the late Square and Mattie Wimbush and was the widower of Lula Mae Geter Wimbush. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Winfrey's Mutual Funeral Home, with the Revs. Charles Mack and Emogene Riggens officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
