Stewart Jr. Winterville Newton A. Stewart Jr., 74, of 1181 Arnoldsville Road, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Stewart was a son of the late Newton A. Stewart Sr. and Belle Scoggins Stewart. He was an Army veteran and co-owner of Universal Poultry. He was a member of the Winterville Lions Club and the Winterville United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, with the Revs. John Brantley, Sam Bowen and Henry Scoggins officiating. Burial will be in the Winterville cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mary Booth Stewart; two daughters, Margie Warren and Jeri Lynn Edwards, both of Winterville; a sister, Mildred Tippett, Silver Springs, Md.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Fleishman Anderson, S.C. Florence Breen ''Flo'' Fleishman, of 2603 East North Ave., died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999. A native of Plainfield, N.J., Mrs. Fleishman was a daughter of the late Simon B. and Jennie Evans Breen, and was the widow of Theodore ''Ted'' Fleishman. She was retired from the American Red Cross and Amco Manufacturing Co. She helped found the Temple B'Nai Israel of Anderson and established its first Sunday school. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Robert M. Kimmel officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Sol ''Ditty'' Abrams, Greenville, S.C., and Harold B. Hooper, 88, 300 Sycamore St., Jefferson, Ga. passed away Dec. 9, 1999 at Athens Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Hooper was born in Barrow County, the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Juette Hill Wills. Mrs. Hooper was retired from the Jackson County Health Dept. and the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. She was a part-time employee of Jackson Funeral Home, Jefferson, Ga. Services for Mrs. Hooper will be at 2:00 P.M. Sat. Dec. 11th. at the First Baptist Church, Jefferson, Ga. Interment will be in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Ga. Mrs. Hooper is survived by a son Robert and daughter-in-law, Mary Ray of Jefferson, Ga. one grandson, Bo Hooper, Lilburn, Ga., one granddaughter, Amy Skelton of Royston, Ga.
