A native of Greene County, Mr. Barnhart was a son of the late Robert Kelsey Barnhart and Dora Giles Barnhart. He was a retired carpenter, and a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea, and was a member of the VFW of Greensboro. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Penfield Cemetery, Union Point, with the Rev. Jim Olds officiating. Survivors include two sons, Tony Barnhart, Atlanta, and David Barnhart, Greensboro; two sisters, Lila B. Moore, Florence, S.C., and Julia B. White, McDonough; and four granddaughters. Callaway Funeral Home, Union Point, is in charge of the arrangements. Jimmy W. Cochran Baldwin Jimmy W. Cochran, 74, of Ga. Highway 198, died Saturday, July 10, 1999. A native of Banks County, Mr. Cochran was a son of the late James W. and Martha Lane Cochran. He was a poultry and cattle farmer, was a member of the Board of Directors of the Banks County Farm Bureau, and a member of the Banks County Cattlemen's Association. He was a member of the board of the BJC Medical Center Hospital Authority, was a Mason, and a member of Hollingsworth Lodge 355 F & AM. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and was a deacon. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South, Baldwin, with the Revs. Gene Todd and Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Harris was a daughter of Princella Morris and the late Henry Haynie. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Harris and Paul Harris. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church, Toccoa, with the Rev. Karl D. Moore officiating. Jackson Bogart Clarence Weldon Jackson, 54, of 475 North Burson Ave., died Saturday, July 10, 1999. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Everett and Cora Lee Huff Jackson. He was a 1963 graduate of Athens High School, and a member of Bogart United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Athens Moose Lodge for 22 years, where he served as governor for two years and earned the highest degree of merit, the Pilgrim Degree. He was a champion ritualist, and served as president of the Stone Mountain Legion for one year. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for 30 years, drove for Carolina Freight Carriers for 25 years, and drove for 3 more years for ABF Freight before retiring. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, Bogart, with the Revs. Albert Askew and Phil Williams officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park with honors by the Athens Moose Lodge. A lifelong resident of Crawford, Mrs. Lowe was a daughter of the late Joseph Edwin and Martha McKenzie Stokely, and was the widow of Lt. Joe H. Lowe, GSP. She was postmaster in Crawford for 36 years and was a member of the Crawford Methodist Church, where she received a Cradle Roll Certificate. She was also a member of the Crawford Woman's Club, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the National Association for Retired Federal Employees. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crawford Methodist Church, with the Revs. Thomas Moon, Jim Hinzman, and David Shiver officiating. Burial will be in the Crawford Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Martha Jo Lowe, Statesboro; a son, Edd Lowe, Athens; a sister, Nancy Stokely Adams, Crawford; a brother, Col. Joe E. Hattie Lou Smith Comer Hattie Lou Smith, 98, of Apt. 2 Ivy St., died Saturday, July 10, 1999. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Silas and Hattie Patrick Fitzpatrick, and was the widow of Billups F. Smith. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Prior to her death, there were five generations of the Smith family living. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Brown's Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. James Shelton and Elmer Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Buchannon Fitzpatrick Family Cemetery. A native of Clinch County, Mrs. Stancill was a daughter of the late Obdiar Carver and Tonnie Steedley Carver, and was the widow of Harvey Lee Stancill. She was a blueprint reader and riveter for the U.S. Government, and was employed as an electrician at General Motors. She was a member of Sinclair Baptist Church, Milledgeville. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Survivors include a daughter, Bess Carver Stancill, Union Point; and two grandchildren, Obdiar Stancill and Blonnie Lynn Hodges. A native of Swain County, N.C., Mr. Wilkes was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Ethel Gass Wilkes. He lived most of his life in the Athens area, was a member of Watkinsville Memorial Baptist Church, and was employed by Fowler Products for over 15 years. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Watkinsville Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Gilmer officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Robie L.
