Brady Lavonia John Joseph Brady Jr., 88, died Friday, June 11, 1999. Mr. Brady was a son of the late John J. Brady Sr. and Helena O'Connor Brady and was the widower of Evelyn L. Brady. He was a prison guard in New York State for 25 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Toccoa, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Wilson, Lavonia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Hamby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Emma Burnett Jefferson Emma Jean Dillon Burnett, 65, of 2142 Jackson Trail Road died Friday, June 11, 1999. A native of Guiford County, N.C., Mrs. Burnett was a daughter of Allie Knight Tysor of Belews Creek, N.C. and the late Victor Worth Tysor. She was a homemaker and farmer and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of DeKalb County Grandmothers Association. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Hembree officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Deluth. A native of Madison County, Ms. Edwards was a daughter of the late Henry Morris and Nora Thompson Edwards. She was a retired bookkeeper, was of the Baptist faith and attended West End Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgie Ann Francis Peterman. She was a member of New Covenant Worship Center.
