Browning Jackson Virginia Nell Fleming Browning, 72, of 1968 Highway 16 East died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Browning was a daughter of the late Virgil Lee Fleming and Nellie Christine Petersen Browning. She was a graduate of Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and retired as a public health nurse in Jasper County in 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Jackson, and Carolyn Mobley Sunday School Class. She was a former WMU Director and was leader of the Helen Thornton Circle. She was a rose grower and was a member of Middle Georgia Rose Society. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Jackson, with the Rev. Danny Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Jackson City Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, James O. Browning; four sons, James C. Browning and Robert Browning, both of Jackson, Kerry Browning, Stockbridge, and Randy Browning, Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Randolph Browning, Winterville; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Rudessa Mae Cleveland Buckhead Rudessa Mae Cleveland, 90, of 4620 Buckhead Road died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Cleveland was a daughter of the late Lewis V. Cronic and Minnie Hulsey and was the widow of Allen C. Cleveland Sr. She was a housewife. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Buckhead Methodist Church with the Rev. Ann Nell Fletcher officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Buckhead City Cemetery.
