She was preceded in death by: four daughters, Louise Bridges, Lucille Bridges, Irene Maxey and Peggy Donald; and a son, J.C. Bridges. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing, Comer, and was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Carithers was a daughter of the late Joseph Mills and Bessie Beasley Mills and was the widow of John Henry Carithers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bettie Blackmon. She was a homemaker and was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church.
