A native of Banks County, Mr. Ray was a son of the late George Jeff and Mary Elizabeth Lewallen Ray. He was a cattle and poultry farmer and was a member of Homer Baptist Church, where he was a member of the deacon board. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Homer Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Crabbe, Dwight Oakes and Lamar Purcell officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Banks Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Pritchett Ray; two daughters, Joyce R. Boswell and Jane Hardman, both of Homer; a son, Leon Ray, Homer; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Martin was a daughter of the late William Minor and Sibyl Prickett Davidson, and was the widow of William Luther Martin. She was a graduate of Martin Institute, Jefferson, and Athens Business College. She was retired after 32 years with the Civil Service and was a member of the Garden Club, NARF, charter member and past president of the Secretaries Club, and honorary member of the Athens Elks Club. She was a member of Young Harris Memorial United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bridges Funeral Home with the Revs. Michael Marsingill and Dayton Logan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Brown, Gainesville, Bertie May Watson, Danielsville, and Allie Dishman, Daytona Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Bronson L. Davidson, Gainesville, and Gene Davidson, Maysville; nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ed Conley, Mark Watson, Jamie Jarrard, Stanley Watson, Troy Davidson and Wayne Martin. A native of Madison County, Mr. James was a son of the late Earl W. and Lettie Mae Hilley James. He was a retired brick layer and a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church where he was a charter member of ''Young at Heart''. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Peek officiating. Mary Jimmie Cleghorn Smith, 92, of 5580 Daniel Smith Road, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999. A native of Commerce, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late John James and Lydia Chandler Cleghorn, and the widow of Mr. Kinsey Judge ''Dick'' Smith. Formerly of Coinjock, N.C., she was the owner/operator of Smitty's Fishing Camp and was a member of the Coinjock Baptist Church and a Past Worthy Matron of Coinjock, No. 218 OES. Services were held Saturday at Twiford's Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, N.C., with the Rev. Bruce Warrenton officiating. Burial was at Lavonia City Cemetery, Lavonia, Ga. A native of San Diego, Calif., Mr. James was a son of the late Howard Theodore and Violet Morrison James. He had lived in Athens since 1990, where he owned and operated J's Variety Store. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, Bogart. Survivors include his wife, Martha R. James; his stepmother, Bernice James, Lakeland, Fla.; two sons, Ted James, Marietta, and Stan James, Atlanta; a brother, Roger James, Lakeland, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Frances Parks died November 11th at Lakeview Living Center, Pineville, N.C. Funeral Services will be in her home church where she was a lifetime member, Hebron Presbyterian Church, Hebron Church Road, Commerce, Ga. Miss Parks lived most of her life in Ashland Community in the western part of Franklin County. She moved to Charlotte, N.C. in 1980 to be near her cousin, Roy W. Coker. She lived 12 years at East Haven Retirement Center and seven years at Lakeview Living Center. She graduated from Franklin County High School, Carnesville, Ga., in 1932. She graduated from the University of Georgia, Athens, 1937, Phi Kappa Phi, with a BS degree in Home Economics and Science. She was a charter member of the Phi Upsilon Omicron National Home Economics Honor Society. She taught in the Georgia School system for 36 years, including: Model High School, Rome, Ga.; Walton County High School, Monroe, Ga.; Lavonia High School, Lavonia, Ga.; Franklin County High School, Carnesville, Ga. While teaching at Model High School she served as adviser to student teachers in Home Economics. At Franklin County High School she was Faculty Adviser to the Junior Tri-Hi-Y Club. Frances was an active member of the Hebron Church. At various times she was President of the Women of the Church, Adviser to the Youth and Church Historian. She began the movement to have the church, the Hebron School and the cemetery listed on the National Historical Register. She is survived by the following cousins: Roy W. Coker and Mary Carol C. Michie, Charlotte, N.C.; Stacy A. Coker, Laurel, Md.; Herbert Coker, Commerce, Ga.; Louise C. Burtchaell, Birmingham, Ala.; Virginia Gillespie, Carnesville, Ga.; Virginia P.
