A native of Rabun County, Mr. Gibson was a son of the late Robert and Donnie Nation Gibson and was preceded in death by a son, Tony Gibson. He was of the Baptist faith. Services will be 4 p.m. today at McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. James Souther officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Gibson Bradshaw, Demorest; two sons, Bobby Gibson, Cornelia, and Charles Gibson, Demorest; five sisters, Ethel House, Mount Airy, Hazel Nation and Betty Winkler, Demorest, and Pearl Tomlin, Cornelia, and Carolyn Martin, Clarkesville; three brothers, Charles Gibson, Macon, Earl Gibson, Clarkesville, and Ernest Gibson, Demorest. The family is at the residence of Carolyn Martin and will receive friends today at the funeral home. William J. Haley Winder William J. Haley, 73, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999. Mr. Haley was a son of the late Ralph H. and Jennie J. Haley. He was retired from Carwood Manufacturing, where he was a controller for 44 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Revs. J. Fred Breed and Brock Burnette officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Peggy A. Haley; two daughters, Patti Dillard, Gainesville, and Pam Martin, Winder; a sister, Roberta Seymour, Savannah; a brother, Ralph Haley, Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren. Halliburton Jr. Toccoa John B. Halliburton Jr., 75, of 8254 Old Church Road died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Mr. Halliburton was a son of the late John B. Sr. and Gladys Trazzare Halliburton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Textile Consultant and a retired Professor at the University of Southern Tech. A memorial service will be announced later. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John B. Jerry Curtis Harris Jr., 32, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999. A native of Athens, Mr. Harris was a son of Jerry Curtis Harris Sr. and Betty J. Bush Harris. Services were Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, West, with the Rev. Winfred Hope officiating. The body was placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens. A native of Pelzer, S.C., Mrs. Knight was a daughter of the late Broadus Knight and Ruby Peeples Knight and was the widow of Bert McIntyre. She was self-employed in the rental property industry and was a member of the Church of God International. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakview Cemetery, Canon, with the Rev. Ben Rogers officiating. Survivors include a son, Paul McIntyre, Tucker; two sisters, Helen Detter, Royston, and Sheryl Brodie, Bogart; a brother, Dale Knight, Canon; and seven grandchildren. She was a housemother at the Masonic Children's Home and Georgia Industrial Children's Home, Macon. He later attended Wenonah Trade School where he became a certified shoe repairman and was a member of Union Baptist Church, Homewood, Ala.
