A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Saxon was a daughter of the late General Young and Pearl Fowler Young Saxon. She was preceded in death by a son, William Ward Saxon. She was a homemaker and was a member of Elberton Church of God. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Duncan officiating. A Maryland native, he was a graduate of the University of Maryland and served in Europe as a Photo Specialist with the U.S. Army's Photographic Corps. Upon his Honorable Discharge in 1962, Mr. Graff began a business career which would span nearly 4 decades in the Graphic Arts and Printing Industries. An active businessman in Athens for the past 25 years, he helped many in the local Graphic Arts Industry early in their professional careers. An avid outdoors enthusiast, Mr. Graff was an active member of Ducks Unlimited. He was a longtime supporter of Athens Recreation and Parks Department Softball and local high school athletics. Survivors include his father, Mr. John Graff, Rockville, MD, his wife, Barbara Graff, daughter Patricia and son, Steven, all residents of Nashville, TN, and many friends and co-workers in the Athens area. LEADSTORIES Story last updated at 9:23 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 1999 Tom Longino Hartwell Thomas Dick Longino, 77, of 175 Old Oak Trail died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999. A native of Fort Monroe, Va., Mr. Longino was a son of the late Olin H. Longino. He attended Suwannee Military Academy, Sullivan's Prep School, the University of Georgia and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated in 1945. He served in Japan, Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1972, then taught for five years at Erskine College, South Carolina. He was a member of Hartwell Kiwanis Club and began a chapter of Golden K. He was a volunteer president and treasurer for the Heart Association and was the campaign manager for the mayor of Hartwell. He served on the Hart County Hospital Board for seven years and was chairman for 31/2 years. He was a volunteer for the AARP and was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Hartwell, where he served as chalices and junior warden. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jim Shumard officiating. Burial will be at the U.S. Military Academy with full military honors. Survivors include his wife, Lou Askew Sanchez Longino; two daughters, Gloria Longino, Waukegan, Ill. and Camille Longino, Chicago; a son, Thomas R.
