He was employed with M&M Master Craftsman, Toccoa, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Private services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Sosbee officiating graveside services. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Dana Leighann Burns, Toccoa; two sisters, Michelle Willoughby, Simpsonville, S.C., and Kerrie Ferguson, Williamston, S.C.; his grandmother, Tressie Burns, Toccoa; and nieces and nephews. Doyle St., Toccoa, Ga. Dwellie Evans Crawfordville Dwellie Evans, 96, of 710 Stewart Road died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999. A native of Taliaferro County, Mr. Evans was a son of the late Josh Evans and Amanda Evans. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Springfield Baptist Church, Crawfordsville, with the Rev. James Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery, Crawfordsville. Survivors include a daughter, Daisy Collins, New York; three sons, Albert L. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Harris was a daughter of the late Clarence Elridge and Blanche Preston Jones and was the widow of Hugh Talmadge Harris. She was a member of Bishop Christian Church. Anndra Gordon Hurley, 40, of 725 Laurel Lane died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. A native of Bethesda, Md., Mrs. Hurley was a daughter of Margaret Thompson Gordon, Athens, and the late William Ralph Gordon. She was a photographer and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Jim Bowden and Beecher Mathis officiating. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Lord was a daughter of the late Dora Wilson Ingram and E.H. "Buddy" Ingram and was the widow of Clyde Verner Lord. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marquerite Pearson. She was a Gray Lady at BJC Hospital and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Vaughn Howington Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Alton Payne Bowersville Alton E. Payne, 43, of 202 Paynes Road, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. A native of Anderson, S.C., Mr. Payne was a son of Fred D. Payne and Grace Caudell Payne, Bowersville. He was a self-employed mechanic and owner of Paynes Garage. He attended Prices Chapel Church of God. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Prices Chapel Church of God with the Revs. Johnny Stowe and E.C. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Ward was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary Evie Thomason Prichett and was the widow of Dayton Ward. She was a retired beautician and was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Nails Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Black and Albert Hudson officiating. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Whitlock was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Florie McCannon and was the widow of Riley Whitlock. She retired from General Time after 35 years of employment and was a member of Burts United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Luther T. Wood Blairsville Luther Thomas Wood, 74, formerly of Oglethorpe County, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. A native of Banks County, Mr. Wood was a son of the late Artis Arthur Wood and Ethel Sanders Wood. He was preceded in death by a son, Alex Tilden Wood. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European and Asiatic Theatres. He retired in 1978 as an engineer with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was very active in Baptist churches, serving as a deacon, trustee, church treasurer and member of building committee. Presently, he was a member of Pine Top Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pine Top Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Tanner and Keith A. Wood, Mr. Wood's son, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lois Fields Wood; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Keith A. and Judy Wood, Cartersville, and Eric T. and Cindy Wood, Blairsville; two sisters, Bobbie S.
