A native of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Seidelman Blickhahn and was the former wife of the late Thomas Laylon Adams. She was a homemaker and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Adams, Hull, and Joan Adams Hartman, Comer; six sons, Thomas Adams, James Adams, both of Hull, Terry Adams, Ted Adams, both of Colbert, Phillip Adams, Gainesville, and Dean Adams, Comer; a sister, Gertrude Reilly, Hull; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home. James N. Highfill Sugar Hill James N. Highfill, 66, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Highfill was a son of the late Otha C. and Robbie Faye Highfill. He was director of general office services with Gold Kist where he was employed for 33 years and was a member of Gold Kist Pioneer Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a 1959 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was a member of Norcross First United Methodist Church and attended Lanier United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, with the Rev. Chester Cook and Dr. Charles Stone officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Stephens Memorial Gardens, Toccoa, with Dr. Henry Fields officiating. Survivors include his wife, Jean Davis Highfill; a daughter, Debbie Rizk, Sugar Hill; a son, Jim Highfill, Yorktown, Va.; and five grandchildren. Norman Pickens Hull Norman Pickens, 37, of 199 Piedmont Road died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Mr. Pickens was a son of Helen Toliver of Hull and the late Gilbert Pickens. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Roland was a daughter of the late Albert and Camilla Jewell Edward. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. A native of Lumpkin County, Mr. Wehunt was a son of the late John Jackson and Ruthie Magness Wehunt and was the widower of Annie Onnie Hanson Wehunt. He was a retired watchman for Carwood Manufacturing Co. and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Pruett officiating. She was born April 3, 1914 in Goshen, Indiana to Harry Eugene Hostetler and Bessie May Bauer Hostetler and grew up in Danville, Illinois before marrying and moving to Atlanta, Ga., in 1945. Her celebration brings her welcome relief from the struggles of a long illness. She leaves behind Barbara Allen and Jim Gaither of Watkinsville, Ga.; Thomas James and Karen Allen of Peachtree City, Ga.; John Richard and Kim Allen of Marietta, Ga.; four beautiful grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Kip and Sean Allen and a niece, Betty Jean Wilson of Gulfbreeze, Fla. Conrad Allen Boling Baldwin Conrad Allen Boling, age 57, of Baldwin passed away Tuesday, August 17, 1999 at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness. Mr. Boling was born in Stephens County on July 29, 1942 to the late Monroe R. and Grace Ragsdale Boling. He was the owner and operator of Bolings Grocery, Feed, and Fertilizer Store. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church where was a former member of the Board of Trustees. He was a member of Homer Masonic Lodge PhiDelta F&AM. He served on the Banks County Board of Education for 12 years and he was a member of the Banks County Chamber of Commerce. He was also recognized by Damascus Baptist Church for his service to the community and he was a member of the Banks County Cattlemans Association.
