A native of Hart County, Mrs. Allen was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Brown and was the widow of Robert Allen. She was a member of Westside Presbyterian Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Westside Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Willie B. Moon officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Heights cemetery. Survivors include five daughters, Ethel Ruth Allen, Charlott Harper, Elizabeth Huff, Judy Pittard and Vickie Allen, all of Elberton; two sons, Fred Allen and Joe Allen, both of Elberton; four sisters, Ina Burch, Hartwell, Louise Evans, Rochester, N.Y., Essie Brown, Augusta, and Ladell Stewart, Gary, Ind.; three brothers, Robert Brown, Gary, Ind., Myjo Brown, Washington, D.C., and John Brown, Clinton, S.C.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Benton was a son of the late William Guy and Ruby Smith Benton. He was a carpenter and was a member of Harmony Christian Church. William Randy Duckett Jefferson William Randy Duckett, 41, of 1063 Dry Pond Road died Thursday, June 17, 1999. A native of Smyrna, Mr. Duckett was a son of Dorothy Gunter Duckett of Smyrna and the late William Leon Duckett. He was a technical engineer for Scientific Atlanta. Fitzpatrick Chickamauga Edith Ilene Dixon Fitzpatrick, 79, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. A native of Boaz, Ala. and a residence of Chickamauga for 30 years, Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a daughter of the late General and Ider Mosley Dixon. She was a member of Noble Church of God and was retired from Crystal Springs Bleachery after 30 years of service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Ft. Oglethorpe, with the Revs. Henry Hampton and Allen Smith officiating. Burial will be in Chickamauga City Cemetery. A native of Columbia County and a resident of Greensboro since 1936, Mrs. Higdon was a daughter of the late Lorenza and Martha Beasley Avrett and was the widow of Edward Riley Higdon. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie L. Higdon and Wiley T. Higdon. She was a homemaker and was a member of First United Methodist Church and Thornton-McCommons Sunday School Class.
