A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Hopkins was a son of the late Albert H. Hopkins and Lucy Scott Hopkins. He was a graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics, Tulsa, Okla., and he served on the Washington-Wilkes Airport Commission for 14 years. He was retired owner and operator of Washington Dry Cleaners and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Washington First Baptist Church. A native of Athens, Mrs. Wright was an elementary school teacher at Central School for 18 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Pamona, Calif. She received a bachelor of arts degree and a master's degree in education, reading specialist from Cal State, San Bernardino. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader and backpacking trainer. She was a Sunday school teacher and director for 40 years at Pamona First Baptist Church, where she volunteered at the Clothes Closet. She was a member of the PTA and was a coach for Golden Girls basketball. She was on the dean's honor list at Chaffey College, a permanent member of Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society and was a nature interpreter at Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona, Calif. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Park Mausoleum, Ontario.
