She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. She was a member of Saxon Baptist Church and retired from Holiday Inn after 30 years as cashier, and was a former member of the Eastern Star. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at J.F. Floyd Mortuary, Spartanburg, with the Rev. Patrick Chandler and Dr. Tim Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Williams Volunteer Sunday school class at First Baptist Church and was one of the founding members of the Eta Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a longtime nurse and care-giver in Wilkes County, beginning in 1960 at Wills Memorial Hospital, and finishing out her career as an operating room supervisor. She was director of the Washington Division for Healthmaster, retiring in 1996. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Washington, with the Rev.
