He worked on TVA projects in North Carolina and Tennessee. He was the first operator of the filtration water plant in Cornelia in 1935, and was in charge of the water works in Newnan 1941-1948. He was in charge of the water works in Milledgeville until he retired in 1972. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Georgia Water Works Association.
