A native of Rutherford County, Mrs. Bost was a daughter of the late George D. and Stella P. McGinnis and was the widow of George F. Bost. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lincolnton, with the Rev. David B. Stacy officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Jackson, Martinsville, Va., and Mary Ann Crawford, Lexington; a son, E. Norris Bost, Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Louise Heedick, Lincolnton, N.C.; a brother, Dr. James McGinnis Pullman, Washington; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family is at the residence of Kathy and Arthur Jackson, 1016 Valient Lane, Martinsville, Va., and will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Warlick Funeral Home. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Bracey was a daughter of the late John Spruell and Addie Bryan Lunsford and was the widow of Alvin Orville Bracey Jr. She was preceded in death by a son, Al Bracey. She was a homemaker and was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with Dr. Wallace Wheeles officiating. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Susan Bracey Wood, Alpharetta; two grandsons, Stuart Bracey and John Bracey; and two nephews. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. James H. 'Johnnie' Gurley Bowersville James H. "Johnnie" Gurley, 78, of 3931 Bowersville Highway died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999. A native of Hart County, Mr. Gurley was a son of the late Lee and Madge Whitworth Gurley. He was a retired supervisor with the Monroe Auto Equipment Co., serving for 21 years. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver in the Hart County School System and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, the China-Burma-India Theatre of Operations, 1941-45. He was a member of the Hartwell Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Hart County. Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Revs. Ben Coleman, Connie Mack Bowers and David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by the Lavonia Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Edith V. Jordan Athens Edith Virginia Jordan died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999. A native of Chicago, Mrs. Jordan attended Northwestern University, the University of Illinois, the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. She retired from teaching art and mechanical drawing with the Atlanta school system in 1984. She was president of Aled International. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Hitson Center of the Sandy Springs Methodist Church, Atlanta. Lloyd Elberton William Vernon "Billy" Lloyd, 64, of 1374 Fairfax Circle, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Lloyd was a son of the late Newton Dawson Lloyd and Verna Lee Grimes Lloyd. He was the general manager of Bicknell Supply Co., Elberton, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
