A native and life-long resident of Brunswick, Miss Butts was a daughter of Rhonda M. Butts and James Daniel Butts, both of Brunswick. She was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, Brunswick, and was a 1995 honor graduate of Brunswick High School. She was a Robert Byrd Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and Beta Club. She attended Valdosta State University, and graduated magna cum laud from the University of Georgia in May 1999 with bachelors degree in social work. She was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and the National Association of Social Workers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Brunswick, with the Rev. He spent three years in Ft. Worth, Texas, and moved in 1992 to England where his family began six years of missionary service. He moved to Toccoa last year, was a 7th grade student at Stephens County Middle School, and, prior to his illness, participated in school and the YMCA soccer leagues. He was a member of Central Alliance Church. He accepted Jesus into his heart when he was only four and last March he went forward at a missionary rally to give his life to serve as a missionary. Ralph Leo Blankenship Crawford Ralph Leo Blankenship, 90, of 1594 Athens Road, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999. Mr. Blankenship was born in Pattonsburg, Mo., on Oct. 1, 1908. He was the only child of Albert and Grace Pearl Blankenship. As a young man, he moved to Guymon, Okla. Mr. Blankenship owned a new-and-used furniture business. At the time of his retirement, he sold wholesale chemical supplies in the Oklahoma Panhandle area. A Mason for 67 years, he belonged to the Guymon Lodge 335 A.F.& A.M. He was a member of the Victory Memorial Methodist Church, Guymon, Okla. He was a veteran of the WWII and served in Patton's Ninth Army in Europe.
