Mr. Chambers was a son of J.T. and Imogene Chambers of Homer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Banks County Memorial Gardens, Homer, with the Rev. Jerry Stowe officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sharon Chambers; two stepsons, Greg Abernathy, Gillsville, and Jermy Abernathy, Gainesville; and two sisters, Rita Chambers and Judy Miller, both of Homer. Ivie Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Edna Cramblett Toccoa Edna Cramblett, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999. A native of Fulton County, Ms. Cramblett was a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Ivah Butler Cramblett. She was an accountant in the automotive industry and was of the Presbyterian faith. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Peoria, Ill. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Jean Cramblett, Toccoa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Toccoa, or to the American Cancer Society. The body will be at Wilton Mortuary, Peoria. Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, has charge of local arrangements. Roy Lee Elrod Carnesville Roy Lee Elrod, 81, of 4310 Georgia Highway 145 died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Elrod was a son of the late Early Andrew and Myrtie Matida Reese Elrod. He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Edward Elrod. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Harrison McCrary V.F.W. Post 4828 and of Providence Baptist Church in Madison County. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home with the Revs. Gary Osteen and Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will be in Cary Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Emily Frances Phillips Elrod; a daughter, Patsy Ann Coker, Carnesville; a son, Larry David Elrod, Carnesville; four sisters, Sarah Ruth Prickett, Commerce, Jeanette Stiff, Elberton, Mary Freeman, Gainesville, and Sue Holbrooks, Toccoa; a brother, Marvin Elrod, Toccoa; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family is at the residence. Ray Hambrick Carnesville Thomas Ray Hambrick, 58, of 5390 Georgia Highway 59 died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Hambrick was a son of the late William Henry and Lilia Hart Hambrick. He was a retired truck mechanic and was a member of Gordon Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 23 years. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ginn Funeral Home with the Revs. Truitt Brawner and Leon Carson officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
