A native of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Charlie and Clyde McAllister and was the widow of Henry Grady "Rosebud" Davis. She was a homemaker and was of the holiness faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Curtis Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Anderson, Comer; four sisters, Patricia "Prissy" Tanksley and Carolyn Bales, both of Athens, Virginia Dooley and Nell Burnette, both of Watkinsville; three brothers, Franklin "Bo" McAllister and Bobby McAllister, both of Athens, and Jessie McAllister, Winder; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. O.C. Deal Clarkesville O.C. Deal, 63, of 648 Cool Springs Circle died Wednesday, May 26, 1999. A native and longtime resident of Stephens County, Mr. Deal was a son of the late Charles Peyton and Luella Rumsey Deal. He resided in Clarkesville for nine years and was of the Baptist faith. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Survivors include two sisters, Bertha Mae Taylor, Toccoa, and Lucy Crawford, Macon; two brothers, B.C. Deal, Clarkesville, and C.P. Deal, Toccoa; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa. Ethel H. Griffin Toccoa Ethel Laura Hunter Griffin, 85, of 837 Hilltop Lane died Tuesday, May 25, 1999. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Griffin was a daughter of the late John and Kate Hunter. She was a longtime resident of Toccoa and Stephens County and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mullins Ford Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Free officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Hill Griffin; five daughters, Birdie Medlin, Locust Grove, Betty Campbell, Doraville, Martha Howard, Margaret Roberson and Patricia Griffin, all of Toccoa; two sons, Henry Mitchell, Lavonia, and William David Mitchell, Norcross; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Clyde Harper Elberton Clyde Harper of 1592 Tobe Wells Road died Sunday, May 23, 1999. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Harper was a daughter of the late Eugene and Minnie Harper. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Vance Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Cottrell Harper Jr. officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a member of Demorest Baptist Church and was a retired apartment manager. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Tom Mewborn officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a son, Don Martin, Villa Rica, Fla.; four sisters, Bertha Nichelson and Hazel Ludwig, both of Cornelia, Doris Rumsey, Clarkesville, and Betty Leonard, Cleveland; a brother, Jack Fennell, Austell; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Janie McCannon Lexington Janie McCannon, 97, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999. A lifetime resident of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. McCannon was a daughter of the late Jim and Ella Lavonia Bridges Eberhardt and was the widow of Richard Augustus McCannon. She was a homemaker and was a member of Glade Baptist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Dannie Reed officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Survivors include a daughter, R. Katherine McCannon Thurmond, Houston; a son, Grady E. McCannon, Lawrenceville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rogers was a self-employed CPA at ARS Accounting in Bethlehem. No services will be held. Survivors include a daughter, Mian Raven Rogers, Bethlehem. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Joyce Spratlin Winterville Joyce Penepole Patton Spratlin, 91, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999. Mrs. Spratlin was the widow of Pope Barrow Spratlin. She was a lifelong member of Winterville First Baptist Church and the Marion Coile Sunday school class. For many years, she provided flowers for the sanctuary from her garden. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Winterville First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Brantley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Courtney and Leatha Spratlin and Eldridge and Ruth Spratlin, all of Winterville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson.
